Changes to the game during the 2023 calendar year.
January
- Tuesday Tidings 150: All home shops have been converted to sell vouchers directly now, instead of the movers automatically putting the new item into the home.[1]
- Tuesday Tidings 151: Empaths TOUCHing a potential patient will now see the name of all other Empath(s) who also have a diagnostic link with the patient.[2]
- Logging in or out while someone else's bonded item is on you, it will be moved to the lost and found bin. This applies to items that you can INVOKE BOND on, not things you own like pets.[3]
- Tuesday Tidings 152: There's now an alchemy society in Inner Hibarnhvidar (in the Upper Cavern)![4]
- Changes to how cambrinth and gaethzen items react when charged with the wrong type of mana, adding support for a new 'disabled' (non-functional) state.[5][6]
- Memory orbs no longer have a cooldown for reuse.[7]
- Ranger guild skill renamed from Scouting to Instinct. With it is the release of the POUNCE command, a fluff verb for non-Rangers, and an Instinct teaching ability for Rangers.[8]
- Su Helmas: Make Haste! 444 microtransaction event.
- Tuesday Tidings 153: A new engineering society has been established in Inner Hibarnhvidar. With this release, every province now has at least one society for every crafting skill![9]
- Tuesday Tidings 154: The rent-a-forge mechs have been expanded to the other crafts. Each of the Crossing crafting societies has had a new door (engineering), archway (outfitting), entryway (alchemy), or alcove (enchanting) added. As time allows in the future, these will expand these to |other societies.[10]
February
- Tuesday Tidings 155: Updates to the DISCORD and TOGGLE verbs supporting Thief and Necromancer players to opt in and reveal their name/guild in the kudos channel of the official Discord like other guilds do for leveling milestones![11]
- Tuesday Tidings 156: Release of the moltspun boggle, a very low level (clvl 15 +/-2) skinnable construct which should help Empaths start their journey killin' stuff. They can be found just north of Riverhaven, down the narrow path.[12]
- Armor changes:[13]
- A bug that interfered with player skill benefiting armor protection has been squished.
- Cloth armor has substantially increased protection and absorption against cold damage.
- Leather armor has substantially increased protection and absorption against fire damage.
- Bone armor has substantially increased protection and absorption against electric damage.
- Regalia (Trader) has substantially increased protection and absorption against any elemental damage.
- Two Bard cyclic spells, Aether Wolves (AEWO) and Caress of the Sun (CARE), are cyclic no more. They are now single-cast spells.[14]
- As of now Shatter, Khri Eliminate, and BLINDSIDE should correctly respect the defenses they are bypassing, and auto-stance if appropriate.[15]
- Tuesday Tidings 157: The fixing of all the missing bits from our make-every-province-have-every-type-of-crafting-society push.... (Updates to crafting societies in Riverhaven, Muspar'i, Shard, Mer'Kresh and Hib.)[16]
- Tuesday Tidings 158: Updated mechanics around Sicle Grove that made hunting fire sprites difficult for low level characters without an Empath nearby.[17]
March
- Tuesday Tidings 159: Bonded couples can disable/enable the special bonded messaging in a number of verbs. This can be toggled on a verb-by-verb basis, and there's a new TOGGLE BOND tool![18]
- Tuesday Tidings 160: There's a whole slew of new interactions with the LUCK stat -- chance to win over a judge, find more treasure, save a botched skinning attempt, and more! [19]
- Tuesday Tidings 161: Six communication verbs (CHANT, INTONE, LECTURE, PREACH, RECITE, and SING) will now also echo to the Conversation window![20]
- Tuesday Tidings 162: The dusk ogre tunnels outside the west gate of Riverhaven has been split into two zones, one section now containing some stunted undead gerbils.[21]
- Updates to The Museum of Imperial History in Throne City. Player-stealable runestones have been added to the Museum! With that addition, runestones have been updated -- They can now have any spell on them if that spell is also in the scroll system [excluding signature spells, meta-spells, and arcane spells (the MMs of TC will be keeping the arcane to themselves for testing and experimentation)].[22]
April
- Two new Barbarian Berserks: Berserk Blizzard, which will make your melee and ranged attacks do more damage, and Berserk Hurricane, which will improve your melee and ranged attack accuracy![23]
- Tuesday Tidings 163: Part two of a total refresh of Iprilu’s Emporium, the Crossing Paladin shop.[24]
- Tuesday Tidings 164: More verbs that can have their special messaging disabled/enabled for bonded couples. [25]
- Addition of parchments, ribbon, and charcoal at Tamsine's shrine in Crossing for memorial rituals. [26]
- Tuesday Tidings 165: More bulk metal purchase options available, at the Ratha and Aesry forging societies. [27]
- Update to grappling, to allow the use of the LIE, STAND, KNEEL, SIT, FALL, GET, TAKE, WEAR, REMOVE, JUMP, STOW, and PUT commands while grappled. [28]
- Tuesday Tidings 166: Introduction of avtalia scuttlers, a high level designed to be fought by Empaths. [29]
May
- Live rollout of CHECK IN NAME option to choose a new name for your character. Costs 2500 SimuCoins.[30]
- Tuesday Tidings 167: The rent-a-forge mechs have been added to the Engineering, Outfitting, Alchemy, and Enchanting Societies in Hibarnhvidar. [31]
- Update to TOGGLE to allow turning on and off customized messaging for spells. [32]
- Tuesday Tidings 168: Part three of a refresh to Iprilu’s Emporium, the Crossing Paladin shop. [33]
- Tuesday Tidings 169: Update to add new BONUS events, and let REXP bonuses be tracked by the system.[34]

- Tuesday Tidings 173: Two things this week! Reenabling of the mechanics to pick the locked door to get into the Corik's Wall library, as well as fixing RUB to allow applying remedies to other characters.[38]
- Tuesday Tidings 174: Added a number of new emotes to the SAY, GRUNT, HISS, and GROWL commands. [39]
- Tuesday Tidings 175: Addition of new, limited-use, remedies instructions for marram and flamestalk potions, which heal all external (marram) or internal (flamestalk) wounds. Available at the Riverhaven, Ratha and Hibarnhvidar Alchemy Societies.[40]

- Update to add additional options for ARRANGE HAIR. [41]
- Tuesday Tidings 176: Added column/table-formatted style for deed register output if TOGGLE CRAFT is enabled. [42]
- Gem pouches and skinning bundles made compatible with tie items. [43]
- Tuesday Tidings 177: Added rent-a-crafting-rooms to the Forging, Engineering, Outfitting, Alchemy, and Enchanting Societies in Ratha.[44]
- Added windows to caravans, allowing PEER WINDOW to see outside, and letting spells requiring Starlight Aura to use ambient starlight if available.[45]
- Tuesday Tidings 178: Final part of the updates to Iprilu's Emporium, adding horse barding. Also added the ability to get the weight of barding via appraisal. [46]
- Empathy skill threshold for Empaths to learn Manipulate dropped from 50 ranks to 10. [47]
- Addition of the new Empath spell Embrace of the Vela'Tohr. [48]
- Tuesday Tidings 179: Update to RECALL HERB to fix missing information and some broken messaging. Also updated spellbook leaf that lists Healing Reagents. [49]
August
- Tuesday Tidings 180: Update to mechanics in the Kirm Morzindu arena in Steelclaw Clan for PvP team battles. [50]
- Tuesday Tidings 181: Luck based crafting material drops from TT 160 made compatible with autoloot container mechanics, to get automatically grabbed as long as autolooting is on. [51]
- Tuesday Tidings 182: Introduction of ember bulls, with a hunting area near Sicle Grove. [52]
- Tuesday Tidings 183: Updates to jousting mechanics. No more permanent destruction of lances except ones meant to be disposable, and tweaks to how the contest works. [53]
- Tuesday Tidings 184: Addition of INFUSE CHECK command to look for items in your inventory that could currently benefit from an infuser stone.[54]
September
- Tuesday Tidings 185 - Added bulk metals shop and rent-a-forge to Shadow's Reach Forge, and added a colossal (200 volume) lead ingot to bulk metals shops.[55]
- Tuesday Tidings 186 - Update to COUNT to allow counting volumes of ingots and ore, PREPARE had some small updates to the formatting and the addition of feat requirements in the /SHIFT and /LIST outputs.[56]
- Tuesday Tidings 187 - Addition of magma bulls, a higher level version of ember bulls in a new hunting area off of the ember bulls near Sicle Grove. [57]
- Tuesday Tidings 188 - Addition of elemental stats to the COMPARE command. [58]
October
- Tuesday Tidings 189 - Addition of ESP LISTEN ALL option to toggle all ESP channels on or off at once. [59]
