Hollow Eve is Coming!
Rumors are spreading that Captain Kurmin is preparing his giant mechanical spiders for a return! Already, celebrations are breaking out in taverns across the realms!
UPDATE:
Oh no! Be'ort is NOT happy with the celebrations and merrymaking! Within mere moments, tragedy struck! Once known as a symbol of marriage and committment, Saemaus' kiss roses throughout the realms were corrupted by Be'ort, causing them to bring forth angry teardrinkers! The vicious monsters feed off the misery of their targets, quite literally!
Simultaneously, a group of priests representing Glythtide, Saemaus and Be'ort have come forth with urgent concerns that their sacred khor'vela grove has come under assault from corrupted beltunumshi, and aberrant breaches leading to the groves have begun appearing throughout the realms!

- Once the festival has opened, you may ASK PRIEST ABOUT SPIDER to pay for a faster travel time to and from the festival grounds.
- Note: While this event takes place outside of Zoluren, F2P players do not need a Passport to Forfedhdar to attend.
Tasks for Tickets and Items
2 weeks before the festival opened, aberrant breaches opened randomly throughout the 5 provinces. A Halfling priest of Glythtide, found near the Meeting portals in most cities, tasked adventurers to help gather samples, purify items and bring supplies to them in a series of tasks. Completion of the tasks resulted in points and currency. None of the event items are bound to the collecting character and may be given away.
- note: If you DECLINE TASK from the priest, there is a timer (approx. 5 minutes) until you may request another. There is a 30 second timer between completing a TASK and asking for the next one.
- Purify diseased khor'vela timber:
- The Halfling priest says, "The balance has tipped towards misery and suffering at the hands of Be'ort. We must work together to find a way to rein in the blight spreading from The Sickness to the other sacred groves. If you find yourself in a position to assist the cause, I could certainly direct you where needed."
- He continues, "I've heard that some have found a way to purify the corrupted timber left behind by the beltunumshi. If you could perform such purifications and learn from them, I would be very keen to hear of your successes and failures. Purify <number> diseased bits of khor'vela to see what you can learn and report back."
- To complete this task, kill the Corrupted khor'vela beltunumshi and collect the wood pieces they drop. Then, get some Holy water and POUR WATER ON <WOOD PIECE>, 2 times for each piece (you can also simply cast bless on the piece once (I snap cast 1 mana blesses on them)). Save the purified piece to turn in with future tasks. Once you have purified the requested number of pieces, return to the priest and ASK PRIEST ABOUT TASK.
- corrupted khor'vela timber becomes replenished khor'vela timber of the same noun type (branch/chip/limb/sapling/shaving/sprig/stick/switch/twig).
- Supply food and/or drink:
- He continues, "I hate to admit it, but I've been so busy directing others to and fro, I seem to have missed a couple of meals." He shifts from one foot to another uncomfortably. "Could I perhaps bother you to bring me some tarts or maybe a drink of some sort? I think I might quite enjoy a cupcake, too!"
- He grins sheepishly before quietly asking, "Maybe you could bring me <number>? It could be a while before I have time to ask again. I promise not to be too picky and very grateful!"
- To complete this task, bring any item with the noun tart or cupcake, along with many items you can DRINK, and GIVE TART/CUPCAKE/<DRINK> TO PRIEST.
- Return corrupted khor'vela timber:
- The Halfling priest says, "The balance has tipped towards misery and suffering at the hands of Be'ort. We must work together to find a way to rein in the blight spreading from The Sickness to the other sacred groves. If you find yourself in a position to assist the cause, I could certainly direct you where needed."
- He continues, "The corrupted beltunumshi sometimes leave behind pieces of themselves. These twisted, mangled limbs bear a concentrated form of the corruption plaguing the groves. If you could return <number> such corrupted bits of their bodies, others in my order can perform further research into ways we can halt the spread from The Sickness."
- To complete this task, kill the Corrupted khor'vela beltunumshi and collect the wood pieces they drop. Return to the priest and GIVE <TIMBER TYPE> TO PRIEST until you have provided the amount requested.
- Return replenished khor'vela timber:
- The Halfling priest says, "The balance has tipped towards misery and suffering at the hands of Be'ort. We must work together to find a way to rein in the blight spreading from The Sickness to the other sacred groves. If you find yourself in a position to assist the cause, I could certainly direct you where needed."
- He continues, "Adventurers such as yourself are bringing me corrupted pieces of fallen beltunumshi as well as researching methods of purging the disease from the remains. Could you acquire, directly or from another, <number> replenished pieces of the khor'vela beltunumshi?"
- To complete this task, GIVE pieces of replenished khor'vela timber to the priest. These can be created by pouring Holy water on corrupted corrupted khor'vela timber, or can also drop periodically drop from the Corrupted khor'vela beltunumshi.
- Return prismatic residue:
- The Halfling priest says, "The balance has tipped towards misery and suffering at the hands of Be'ort. We must work together to find a way to rein in the blight spreading from The Sickness to the other sacred groves. If you find yourself in a position to assist the cause, I could certainly direct you where needed."
- He continues, "I witnessed first hand the sorcerous rifts that plagued the realms a few years back. The aberrant breaches now appearing in a similar manner are not the same. My order uses these manifestations to move about the sacred grove, but they too have fallen to the corruption from The Sickness. There is a prismatic residue that sustains them. The infection has not yet defiled this substance. It could be the key to a cure. Bring me <number> handfuls of the residue."
- To complete this task, ASK PRIEST ABOUT BREACH for a list of the current locations. Once outside a breach, SCRAPE it until you recover pinch of prismatic residue. Once you've recovered the required number, return to the priest and GIVE RESIDUE TO PRIEST.
- The Halfling priest says, "The balance has tipped towards misery and suffering at the hands of Be'ort. We must work together to find a way to rein in the blight spreading from The Sickness to the other sacred groves. If you find yourself in a position to assist the cause, I could certainly direct you where needed."
- He continues, "Corrupted beltunumshi are springing forth from the sacred khor'vela my brothers and sisters tend to. The corruption is too vast and their numbers too great for us to manage on our own. If you were to purge the realms of <number> beltunumshi, it would be a considerable assistance."
- He adds, "I can even provide you a list of the last known location of the aberrant breaches to spirit you to the grove to combat them!"
- To complete this task, ASK PRIEST ABOUT BREACH for a list of the current locations. Once in a breach, kill the creatures until you've met the number for your task. Once done, return to the priest and ASK PRIEST ABOUT TASK.
Rewards
- These points will result in participation points and some coin. These points can be obtained even without a ticket to the festival.
- While you can continue to collect points past the cap, at 75,000 points your reward message will change to indicate you've reached it.
- As per GM Zadraes, the different sizes of replenished khor'vela timber will result in different points received. The replenished khor'vela sapling will provide the highest point reward on turn-in.
- Confirmation needed, but possibly the higher the appraisal value, the more points received. See the timber pages for a chart of those values.
- ASK PRIEST ABOUT REWARD to check your total accumulated points (short version). Once the festival has opened, using this command will credit your character with Hollow Eve tickets, up to 70,000 with capped points.
- ASK PRIEST ABOUT WORK:
- Unexpectedly serious for a Halfling, the Halfling priest leans in and whispers, "We think our brothers and sisters of The Sickness went too far. We are all tasked with maintaining a balance so that the great khor'vela can continue to flourish; this sometimes means exposing it to harm so we may learn how to heal, restore and harden it to future infections."
- He continues, "Ordinarily, our work in the sacred groves is done quietly, unknown to all but the highest among our faith. Be'ort, however, has tilted the balance, and now chaos spreads. The hidden rifts we use to move between the groves have been corrupted and exposed to all. They grow unstable, appearing and disappearing throughout the realms."
- The Halfling leans closer still and whispers more quietly, "I don't know if The Hope has the tools for this level of corruption. Their duties are made more difficult with the never ending stream of corrupted beltunumshi sprining forth from the sacred tree."
- The priest concludes, "There is much we could use help with to restore balance, and in the process perhaps we may also appease Be'ort enough to...ahem...shift his attentions elsewhere. If you're up to it, ASK me for a TASK, and I'll assign you work."
- "So far you have made remarkable strides to our efforts," he adds, "and we offer our sincere gratitude."
- [You currently have <number> participation points for this event. You have not reached the cap.]
