Intermediate is a difficulty classification for spells. They require 80 effective skill to be able to cast at minimum prep and 800 effective skill in order to be able to cast at maximum effect. These requirements are modified by your Primary Magic skill, so in most cases you will need something less than these amounts depending on how much primary magic you have.
