| A ship sails across calm seas, pursuing a black-sailed vessel. Suddenly, the black sailed vessel banks sharply, and a low-flying figure narrowly misses the hull of the ship, screaming along the surface of the water on insectile wings.
The watch cries out, "The once-woman approaches!", but the ship only has moments to react. Splintering the wooden deck as she lands, the hideous figure's five eyes track the squad of marines that rapidly encircle her. She begins to laugh, and her wings blur as she flickers between her opponents. The sprays of arterial blood and severed limbs do not have time to hit the deck before the figure explodes into the sky, carrying a screaming soldier. Some time later, as the ship's surgeon tends to the wounded and dying, a mutilated corpse slams into the deck, and the ship turns from the chase. The black-sailed vessel disappears into an archipelago, and the vision fades. | |
