Database error fix
So to say fix the "Darkened leather siege shield" you would take the form edit URL "https://elanthipedia.play.net/index.php?title=XXX&action=formedit" and the full item name/title "Shield:Darkened_leather_siege_shield" and put that where the XXX is in the form edit URL, as such... "https://elanthipedia.play.net/index.php?title=Shield:Darkened_leather_siege_shield&action=formedit". That takes you directly to the edit form for that item.
To-Do's
note to self: Instead of categories, move over to article pages with ISearch/SSearch lists instead?
- Create an Ink toy page for an overview of the "fill with ink" toys like peachy plush sand sprite with flowing golden hair
- Create a Commemerative medal page and populate with the various ones
- Herb pages: Go back and update the other herb pages to add shop sales, like with Nemoih. Also, go update all the society shops from t=i to t=n for the herbs.
- create a page & populate "flower" clothing category (done: Category:Flower display items)- populate more items. Double check the patterns section, possible that all the embroidery patterns are the same for all different clothing types?
- Category:Morph items
- * shimmer clothing/jewelry category
- * "reversible" category; things like Item:Moonspun silk robe dyed dark purple with a sun-shaped golden clasp.
- some items from Akaterina's Cassocks need to be added to categories...lazy...ugh...
- Add in location changing items? Maybe a master category for items that can have multiple versions, then sub categories for the weapons (exo-weapons), reversible, shimmer, location changing...
- once the cat is populated, need to update Tier lists and then re-update ITEMS for consistency:
- change the initial color in the TAP to <color>
- Link to the right categories for the lists instead of on each ITEM page
- possibly add possible colors and/or nouns to the CTAG and STAG fields?
- create the generic gold anklet page for the entrail toss game, this page documented: Gold anklet inlaid with a cambrinth wolverine
- populate Trader jewelry, consolidate with the Trader jewelry page
- populate Category:Hair changers, Category:Eye changers, Category:Build changers, Category:Skin changers, then update the Features table
- Compile a list of toasting pits/"cook or assemble your food" shops and locations like Stick_in_the_Sand...Toasting pit
- create and populate a FLASK/TANKARD category
- create a divination tool category, sub categories for each of the tool types (ie. Item:Amber divination bones)
- create a list of bucket of viscous gloop & trash bins, similar to the Donation_racks page
- create an article about dolls, how the verbs can change the appearance of a doll (ex Item:Soft Rakash doll)
- create a wedding gift register for random wedding/party gifts that don't have their own event page. (see Item:Delicate Eluned's Glory blossom)
- create and populate a "lockable container" category; confirm if any key will still work to open any lock, or if new sold sets are paired sets
- Sort out Duskruin loot tables. Duskruin loot and off the 422 page
- populate out the variations table/items on Scroll stacker
- Update and populate the Portable stove variation items. (housing stoves in there, missing non-stove nouns, etc)
- Create & populate guildhall pages (def. Crossing, double check other cities)
- Populate the Dancing rope variations
- Populate the Winged Footwear variations
- Create and populate a bullwhips page.
- Create and populate a Whisper toy page for the toys that you can whisper & ATMO the room with
- Create and populate a writing book/notebook/diary/etc page
Archives
Re: archiving historical news article contents - News articles can be archived using via use of an archive sub-page. See User_talk:CARAAMON/Archive for an example. These still show up in a search, with the archive sup-page clearly visible. A link at the top of the page can link to the archive page indicating that there are archived versions available to peruse. See User_talk:CARAAMON for an example of such a link. I recommend using this format of archival.
Italics Gone Wild
"There's some weirdness going on with the category display at the bottom of pages; some get italicized while others stay standard."
This specific issue is probably not related to the changes, since many of these existed before. This happens when a category page gets redirected to incorrectly. A lot of these were introduced when we made the big capitalization push, since many category pages were affected. I fix them as I come across them, since there's no real way to search for them. Here's what causes it and how to fix it if you want to do them if you come across them:
A redirect to a Category page should have a colon in front of the 'Category' text. E.g.: #REDIRECT [[:Category:Spell types]]. If it doesn't include the leading colon then the redirect page gets added as an italicized item on the category page it redirects to. In short, the wiki thinks it belongs in the category unless the leading colon is there.
- Note that this also applies to links to a category page if the page itself is not supposed to be in the category list. E.g. a users favourites page might have a link to the crafting materials category and the proper syntax would be [[:Category:Crafting materials]] with the leading colon. Without the colon, the person's favourites page would show up as an item in the list at the bottom of the category page. These are rarer, and harder to spot since they're not in italics.--ABSOLON (talk) 08:36, 25 August 2016 (CDT)

Historical Stuff to Place
[Inner Hibarnhvidar, Borg Kwarf] Air and light filter down in patches from somewhere above the far recesses of the arched ceiling. The dark grey granite walls have been inlaid with lighter shades of rose and cream to form frames around two bas-relief murals depicting epic moments in Dwarven history. When compared to the bustle of the main cavern and the echoes of the tunnel, this area's subdued ambience befits the nearby administrative hub of the city. Obvious exits: north, southeast, south, southwest.

- A wizened Dwarf with a black head of hair and braided beard sits at a workbench surrounded by musical instruments. In one hand, he holds a pancake-shaped drum with a brass head and in the other a silver flute. Both instruments bear a tiny inscription which has been enlarged and explained on a plaque beneath.

- A plaque reads:
- "In Blueflame born, Tragar forged me, 8398 IKA [in Kertigen's Arms]"

- A bloody battle unfolds between the Dragon Priests and group of forty-eight Dwarves. Beneath the mural is an inscription.
- There appears to be something written on it.
- >read other mur
- The right mural reads:
- "The Forty-Eight" was a group of Dwarves out of Gardul who sacrificed their lives. They tried to stop the encroaching Dragon Priests who had already razed Faskin. The Dragon Priests intended to take and sacrifice the Dwarves of Upper Siergelde to the World Dragon "through flame and sword."
[Inner Hibarnhvidar, Borg Kwarf]
Three granite pedestals form an isosceles triangle that is the mirror image of the layout in the room to the south. Small gold placards affixed to the base of each pedestal briefly comment on the artist and history of the piece. A narrow bench before each statue provides a place from which to study the artwork.
Obvious exits: north, east, southeast, south, southwest, west.

- This majestic bust has been enhanced by the careful selection of blue star sapphires for its eyes, which results in them seeming to follow movement in the room. A laurel wreath enameled in dark green rests upon its curly locks.

- yellow-tipped firewheel flower - Horse Clan
- from a room description: Beneath the shelter of their bluish vegetation, a row of firewheel flowers blooms. With a showy corona of broad petals that are red at the base and tipped with yellow, the blossoms' hot color is all the more noticeable contrasted against the cooler hues of the juniper.
- pale pink prairie rose - Horse Clan
- from a room description: Climbing prairie roses have taken advantage of the presence of a few clumps of sagebrush to create a tangle of deep green leaves and pale pink blossoms, nearly obliterating the more austere sage from view.
