There are a variety of tools that can be used in crafting, with most (but not all) disciplines using separate tools.

In addition, there are several tools used in related gathering processes, such as skinning and mining.

Traits

Condition

This is how much wear and tear this tool has undergone. Once a tool's condition falls to "in good condition" (89% or below), a loss in effectiveness can occur. You can repair tools by giving them to the clerk inside a Society building, or using a wire brush and oil. See "Repair" below for more detail.

The workmanship of the tool is how close it is to the template cap, and how much of a bonus or penalty it provides when used to make other things.
