Tie
Used for a variety of contexts, including: tying weapon straps to weapons, arranging a character's hair, and tying off gem pouches.
'TIE <item>

See examples below.

Trader Caravans

'TIE <Player corpse> TO CARAVAN
Beginning at 10th circle, Traders may tie a corpse to their caravan to have their caravan tow a dead body along behind.

Gem Pouches

TIE MY <adjective> POUCH
Tying a gem pouch converts the entire pouch into one item. This is very useful to help manage your inventory count, and also allows you to continue adding gems into a pouch above the normal maximum capacity of 70.

When you tie a gem pouch, all the individual gems inside it are destroyed and converted into a lump-sum monetary value. This process is irreversible so make sure there are no "keepers" in a pouch before you tie it. Also be careful if you have used STORE to designate a tied gem pouch as a STOW target; any new gems placed into a tied pouch will also be destroyed.

Tied gem pouches can be sold just like an untied pouch; however they can only be sold by a Trader. After selling to a gem appraiser, the empty pouch will be returned to you untied.

  • Thieves cannot steal from a tied pouch.
  • Traders can UNTIE a tied gem pouch in order to split the value or combine it with another tied pouch. Note however that this does NOT recreate individual gems and the pouch remains tied.
>open dark pouch
The dark gem pouch has been tied off. You'll need to sell the contents before you can use it again.

>look dark pouch
The dark gem pouch has been tied off.
The dark gem pouch is made for easy storage of gems, and is used by gemshops everywhere to handle bulk transactions.

Tie Items
