Avrenka's vision:
<pre>The light around you flares with blinding authority.

Time slows and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.

Before you stands a figure of unwavering resolve, cloaked in the enduring spirit of justice and a stance brimming with the determination of one who never falters. He is accompanied by a fierce mongoose that sniffs about as if seeking the unseen. There s a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from a nameless sword.

As you reach out to touch the mongoose, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes, you see Dirge.

Dried vines and brecciated rock incorporated into one side of the encasement make for a weakness.

The man says, "The time for skepticism has ended. This wrong shall not go unanswered. Tell them. And hurry."

A warm aura intensifies for a moment, then recedes, leaving behind a steadfast resolve and an indomitable sense of security, as though the very essence of righteous judgment has fortified your spirit. He and the mongoose vanish.</pre>

Briaen's vision:
<pre>The light around you flares with blinding authority.

Time slows and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.

A radiant figure emerges, bathed in the golden hues of wheat. Her face is serene and filled with an endless well of compassion. Her long robes shimmer like the first rays of morning, casting warmth and comfort. By her side, a majestic cow with soft eyes steps forward, its coat glowing with auroral hues. There s a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the break of dawn.

As you reach out to touch the cow, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes, you see Dirge.

Dried vines and brecciated rock incorporated into one side of the encasement make for a weakness.

The woman says, "Dawnsworn of my name, too many are lost. The time has come to light the way. Tell them. And hurry."

The woman smiles and a warm glow intensifies for a moment, then dims, leaving behind a sense of peace and hope, as though the dawn itself has touched your soul. She and the cow vanish.</pre>

Karthor's vision:
<pre>The air around you hums with a silent authority.

Time slows and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.

A figure emerges; His presence is marked by the scent of earth and metal, a testament to his dominion over craftsmanship and the treasures of the deep. Upon his forearm, a sleek raven perches with watchful eyes, its dark feathers gleaming like polished gemstones.

The raven cocks its head, one way and then another, as though conveying balance and fairness. There s a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the coffers of long-lost kingdoms.

As you reach out to touch the raven, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes, you see Dirge.

Dried vines and brecciated rock incorporated into one side of the encasement make for a weakness.

The man says, "The time has come to forge a new path. Tell them. And hurry."

The figure s stern countenance softens, revealing a flicker of paternal concern. The sound of jingling coins echoes briefly, leaving behind a sense of trust and hope. He and the raven vanish.</pre>

Kethrai's vision:
<pre>The air around you hums with a silent authority.

Time slows and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.

A matronly figure emerges, draped in the verdant hues of spring, her face tranquil and filled with a wealth of benevolence. Her flowing gowns shimmer like the first rays of morning, casting both warmth and comfort. By her side, a magnificent unicorn with soft eyes steps forward, its coat luminous with porcelain iridescence. There s a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the tenderness of motherhood.

As you reach out to touch the unicorn, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes, you see Dirge.

Dried vines and brecciated rock incorporated into one side of the encasement make for a weakness.

The woman gazes at you softly and says, "The encasement will subside. You must tell them. Hurry, now Heart Tender. Embrace your path."

A soft luminescence intensifies for a moment, then gently fades, leaving behind a promise of healing and grace. She and the unicorn vanish, leaving behind a sense of profound peace and divine protection, as though the very essence of purity has embraced your soul.</pre>

Nawains's vision:
<pre>The sound of fluttering wings cascades around you, growing louder with each passing moment.

Before you, the air stirs as a delicate butterfly appears, its iridescent wings shimmering with every hue of cerulean and lilac. It flutters slowly, gracefully, its silent flight speaking of profound wisdom and the endless cycle of life. As it dances upon the breeze, you feel a sense of growth unfurling in your heart, a quiet nudge toward reflection and understanding.

The butterfly serenely floats across the area, landing on your arm. Suddenly, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes, you see Dirge.

Dried vines and brecciated rock incorporated into one side of the encasement make for a weakness.

A lilting feminine voice echoes all around you, firmly stating, Keep true to the path you have chosen and to your new pack. You will keep them, and they will keep you. The time has come for a new chapter in this story, my Repentant. Tell them. And hurry.

Several butterflies flutter and float along the breeze You lose sight of Enelne in the rabble. The swarm's wings leave dusky trails of sparkling golden light, and you are filled with a renewed sense of purpose and peace.</pre>

Messaging from Dirge:
<pre>
The golden light atop the enclosure seems to build, and suddenly, lashes out and downward, slamming against the encasement! The vine wall shudders and slows momentarily!

A voice roars "ENOUGH! You interlopers are a blight!" and you are momentarily overwhelmed with a foreign feeling of disgust. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.

Suddenly, a company of drakes slams into the ground, and roaring in fury, begins to attack!

An exposed section of the vine wall is suddenly raked by the golden light, and fades to a dull brown as it dies, falling to the ground in a thick coil, exposing a weakness in the enclosure!

The golden light atop the enclosure roars with brilliance and rakes across the encasement! The light lashes out and downward, slamming against the encasement! The vine wall shudders and slows momentarily!

The golden light atop the enclosure erupts with brilliance, shining through the inside of the encasement! The light burns the encasement, causing the vine wall to smolder as swaths of leaves scatter into ash and embedded stone chips and shatters!

The golden light atop the enclosure screams with a keening howl, zigzagging across the encasement! The vine wall contorts oddly, rippling and bulging, the vines ripping and the embedded stone shattering!

The golden light atop the enclosure flares, burning the encasement into ribbons! Masses of vine and stone fall to the ground and shatter!

The dessicated vines begin to shatter, as large gouges are hacked throughout the length!

The golden light rakes across the area, highlighting the drakes, as if marking them for divine retribution!

The final drakes are defeated, an ominious crackle rips across the sky!

The golden light dims slightly, as if gathering strength, and you are left with the impression of a great force taking a deep breath in anticipation...

The golden light atop the spire erupts with a blinding fury, burning the vines and shattering the stone of the encasement! The light intensifies, and you throw your hands up to shield your eyes!

Suddenly, you see Them, striding forward, heads held high.
A serene woman in shimmering robes that radiate like the first rays of morning, riding atop a muscular cow.
A craftsman clad in tools, a raven perched upon his shoulder, scrutinizing everything.
An armored soldier, his visor closed though his eyes piercing and intent, a hissing mongoose scurrying at his feet.
A beautiful woman, holding a sickle in one hand, her other placed on the shoulder of a magnificent unicorn.
A butterfly flutters across the area, and explodes in a golden haze.

As one, they blur, and erupt with golden light, vanishing.

The encasement slows, the vines browning and fading to ash, the malleable stone crumbling to fine sand. The golden light expands in a radiant explosive shockwave, sweeping the encasement away and knocking you back!

As the golden light fades, to the north you see the familiar trace through the lava fields. You feel a strong hand grasp your shoulder in encouragement, and then withdraw.
A voice roars "You have learned nothing! You do not understand what it is you destroy!" and you are momentarily overwhelmed with a foreign feeling of fear. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.
</pre>

During the exchange, you could attack the vines.
<pre>> look vine
A section of the enclosure has fallen, the thick vine laying coiled nearby, outside the reach of the writhing wall. This vine appears damaged, dried and desiccated, embedded with clusters of brecciated rock. You are certain you could CUT it.

> cut vine
You grab a nearby axe, hefting it at the tangled vines! You are able to muster your strength and strike a more solid blow!
Your axe lands a devastating strike against the vines, cutting a significant gouge into them with a satisfying *THUNK*. You discard the axe, preparing for another assault from the drakes.

A loud horn blares, echoing throughout the ruins. Silence falls in its wake, and the few sounds of combat fade as combatants retreat.

A slow and steady drum beats, echoing throughout the ruins.

A voice booms throughout the ruins, "They reach beyond what they should, and we suffer the consequences of their actions. NO MORE!" The beating drums immediately halt, and an eerie silence settles.

A menacing voice screams into your thoughts, "We prepared for this long before your folly! No more shall you take our treasures so easily! We will not fall to your incursions so easily ever again!"

It indicates that there will be further countermeasures from the [[Heralds]], but the journey to Balance continues.

[[Allye]]'s vision:
<pre>The light around you flares with blinding authority.

A radiant figure emerges, bathed in the golden hues of wheat, her face serene and filled with an endless well of compassion.

You see several things at once.

A feint on Knife Clan to distract. You see yourself here first, watching the chaos unfold. You await a signal. The view changes.

You see a set of scales, perfectly balanced: Tiger Clan on one side, Wolf Clan on the other. You see yourself on the side of Wolf Clan.

Focused beams of holy light to lance the encasements, burning away vine and stone.

The woman says, "The time has come, Cateress. Our chosen will toil mighty in their quest to return them to Us. Feed the lost, feed the hungry. Tell them. And hurry."

The woman smiles and a warm glow intensifies for a moment, then dims, leaving behind a sense of peace and hope, the smell of warm bread lingers in the air. She and the cow vanish.</pre>

[[Imroth]]'s vision:
<pre>A stalwart figure emerges, clothed in simple and rustic garments, his gaze ogrish but wholesome. By his side, a donkey with comically oversized teeth trots forward, its coat cast in donkey grey. There's a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a request to make waffles in the morning.

As you reach out to touch the donkey, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. You see several things at once. Four different chronicles, with a fifth being developed.

The first is classic, a perfect twist of fairytale humor. The second builds on the greatness, more characters and more laughs. The third isn't very good, and the fourth is alright, but it's too late because the series already jumped the shark. You see yourself watching the chaos unfold. You await a signal. The view changes.

You see a set of scales, perfectly balanced: Tiger Clan on one side, Wolf Clan on the other. You see yourself at home on the couch, mindlessly watching the dream works tale of a lovable ogre.

The ogre smiles and a warm glow intensifies for a moment, then dims, leaving you with a renewed sense of strength and stamina, the smell of swamp lingers in the air. He and the donkey vanish.</pre>

[[Kerennya]]'s vision:
<pre>The air around you hums with a silent authority.

Time slows and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.

The sound of crashing waves echoes around you, growing louder with each passing moment. A pool of unfathomably deep water collects at your feet. As you sink within the depths, the light grows dim, becoming but an ember above you. From the watery twilight, a lithe figure emerges, draped in the tangle of seaweed, coral, and algae, her face tranquil and filled with a wealth of wisdom. Accompanying her at one side, an pelagic dolphin with black eyes swims forward, its soft smooth skin rigid and awash with blue-grey tones. There s a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from deepest dark.

As you reach out to touch the dolphin, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. You see several things at once.

A feint on Knife Clan to distract. You see yourself here first, watching the chaos unfold. You await a signal. The view changes.

You see a set of scales, perfectly balanced: Tiger Clan on one side, Wolf Clan on the other. You see yourself on the side of Tiger Clan.

Focused beams of holy light to lance the encasements, burning away vine and stone.

The woman gazes at you knowingly and says, "The woman gazes at you knowingly and says, "The time has come for your voice to be heard. We will crash upon the encasement as the sea crashes on the ocean cliff, and tear it down. You must tell them. Hurry now, my Wavedancer."

A blinding luminescence intensifies with vicious speed, the waters engulfing you recede, leaving behind a promise of healing and grace. The woman and the dolphin vanish. Though gasping for breath, you feel as though the very essence of purity has embraced your soul.</pre>

[[Khearkrash]]'s vision:
<pre>The air around you takes on the scent of decay. You suddenly feel terrified as though eyed by authority itself.

Time slows and the air takes on a dark golden light. Everything goes silent as the grave.

A ghostly, faceless figure stands before you, his countenance obscured by a countless number of screams, each one changing into the next in a ceaseless parade of agony. This presence is marked by the scent of death, a testament to his dominion over the last moments of life itself. Upon his shoulder, a vulture perches with watchful eyes, its dark feathers mangled and unkept. There s a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the coffers of long lost kingdoms.

The vulture cocks its head and locks eyes with you and suddenly a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression.

A mischievous masculine voice echoes all around you, stating wryly, "In time, I will come for even you, Paladin. Vanquish this encasement in my name. Tell them how and do not delay."

The figure swiftly grows pale, becoming translucent as the last scream across his face twists into a wry, tricker's grin. The figure and the vulture vanish. As you regain your resolve, you feel as though the very essence of pain has embraced your soul.</pre>

[[Ruea]]'s vision:
<pre>The shadows darken swiftly and rumble with authority. The sound of a low, grumbling growl emanates from the darkness.

Time slows and the air takes on a golden light.

Everything goes silent.

Before you, the shadows slink with a calculating motion. From the dark, an inky black panther stalks towards you. Its ebony fur reflects but a glint of light, creating a sheen that cascades across its body with graceful motion.

Though unnaturally silent, there s a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the lessons of the dark. You feel a sense of growth unfurling in your heart, a quiet nudge toward reflection and understanding.

As your gaze locks with the panther's, a flurry of disparate images suddenly fight for expression at the back of your mind.

A masculine voice echoes all around you, enticingly stating, "The time has not yet come for Our children to sleep. Sing them the song of unity and cooperation. Tell them. And hurry."

As the shadows recede, the panther vanishes leaving the scent of dusk berry on the air. The melody of an old forest song is still repeating in your mind, just on the edge of your memory. You are struck with a renewed sense of purpose and peace.</pre>

[[Urbaj]]'s vision:
<pre>A figure emerges, his presence marked by the scent of earth and metal, a testament to his dominion over craftsmanship and the treasures of the deep. Upon his forearm, a sleek raven perches with watchful eyes, its dark feathers gleaming like polished gemstones.

The raven cocks its head, one way and then another, as though conveying balance and fairness. There's a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the annals of divine law.

As you reach out to touch the raven, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression.

The man says, "The time has come to account for these lawless swindlers, abiding by no contract, beholden to no fair trade. Tell them. And hurry."

The figure's stern countenance softens, revealing a flicker of paternal care and concern. The sound of jingling coins echoes briefly, leaving behind a sense of trust and hope. He and the raven vanish.</pre>

[[Waydren]]'s vision:
<pre>The air around you hums with a silent authority.

A matronly figure emerges, draped in the verdant hues of spring, her face tranquil and filled with a wealth of benevolence. Her flowing gowns shimmer like the first rays of morning, casting both warmth and comfort. Focused beams of holy light to lance the encasements, burning away vine and stone.

The woman gazes at you softly and says, "Your noble attempts at restoration are a valued exercise and healing will come, when We choose. Some scars serve as reminders. Tell them. And hurry."

A soft luminescence intensifies for a moment, then gently fades, leaving behind a promise of renewal and grace. She and the unicorn vanish leaving behind a sense of profound peace and divine protection, as though the very root of nature has embraced your soul.</pre>

As she reflects by a small creek, guilt surfaces from her past decisions, particularly her rejection of a pledge symbolized by a blue iris, though her sense of purpose and loyalty to [[Meraud]] fills her with resolve. She recklessly casts a sorcerous spell, feeling a mix of energy, exhaustion, and divine purpose, preparing to try again despite the mental toll.

| style="padding: 10px; vertical-align: top;" |The Immortals send individualized visions to [[Aaiyaah]], [[Eyst]], [[Maintain]], [[Shaylynne]], and [[Tirost]], calling them to Knife Clan. Adventurers, joined by [[Miraena]] and [[Unaka]], cast sorcery and interact with a sorcerous mass that requires repeated interventions to maintain stability. The mass evolves throughout the encounter, from bolus to mass to orb to globe. The [[Immortals]] encourage adventurers to continue their efforts. The event culminates in a series of destructive light beams that shatter the Knife Clan encasement, followed by a thunderous explosion that alters the sky itself, causing stars to vanish and three [[Heralds]] to materialize in the heavens. At the end of the encounter, one of the missing adventurers, [[Dantia]], makes a sudden return.

[[Aaiyaah]]'s vision:
<pre>A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Aaiyaah. They blink as their gaze focuses on a specific point. You turn to see, but can't spot what they are looking at.

The air around you hums with a silent authority.

Time slows, and the air takes on a golden light.
Everything goes silent.

A stalwart figure emerges, clothed in simple and rustic garments, his gaze paternal and stern. By his side, an enormous ox with rigid eyes lumbers forward, its coat cast with tawny hues. There's a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the lessons of hard-won battles.

As you reach out to touch the ox, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes you see Knife Clan encasement, great siege weapons, drakes plummeting from the sky, and a glimmer of golden light waning at the top of the spire.

The man says, "We call on you now to serve. Mixed magic is the key. Stand before the last encasement and cast all that you can, for we will forge a salvo that is anathema to them, and free Knife Clan. Guide Our children. Tell them what must be done. Hurry."

The man smiles and a warm glow intensifies for a moment, then dims, leaving you with a renewed sense of strength and stamina. The smell of tobacco lingers in the air. He and the ox vanish.</pre>

[[Eyst]]'s vision:
<pre>A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Eyst. They blink as their gaze focuses on a specific point. You turn to see, but can't spot what they are looking at.

The air around you hums with a silent authority.

Time stops, and there is nothing but agony.

The air around you feels suddenly burdensome as though many eyes gaze upon you in authoritative judgment. A snarl echoes across your mind, and you are battered by the significance of Their rage, their disappointment, their... yearning for your return. A cadre of voices hiss in your ear, full of malice and contempt, understanding and empathy, strength and honesty. Making out any specific words or phrases is impossible, yet a message still lives in the madness. A command yet unspoken, a truth carried from the complex order of divine law. You feel guilty.

Your ritual knife rings, as if struck by an unseen force. A flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes you see the last encasement.

As the voices subside, you are overcome by a sense of deficiency. Still, strangely, you feel full of purpose and urgency.</pre>

[[Maintain]]'s vision:
<pre>A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Maintain. They blink as their gaze focuses on a specific point. You turn to see, but can't spot what they are looking at.

The air around you hums with a silent authority.
Time slows, and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.
Phase 1 - Warrior Mages & Bards weave Aether to open the Anomaly while everyone else casts pure magic.
A cloaked figure steps forward, his black marbled staff crackling with a silvery energy. Beneath a deep hood, you're unable to make out his face, only the glint of hidden eyes. Upon his shoulder perches an owl, its watchful eyes fixed on you. There's a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from eons of foreknowledge.
Phase 2 - Warrior Mages & Bards use Othersight to see what's going on Aethereally.

Entranced by the owl's gaze, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes you see Knife Clan encasement, an unbalanced equation, drakes plummeting from the sky, and a glimmer of golden light waning at the top of the spire.
The figure says, "Humble one. Mixed magic is the key. Stand before the last encasement and cast all that you can, for we will forge a salvo that is anathema to them, and free Knife Clan. Tell them. And hurry."
Phase 3 - Warrior Mages & Bards & Moon Mages attempt to manipulate the Aether thru various abilities & spells.

The figure holds out his staff towards you. Instinctively, you reach out to grasp it, only to be bewildered by a battery of lightning. A golden-silver haze suffuses the area and you are left with a distinct feeling of wisdom and of knowledge you barely recall consuming. He and the owl vanish.</pre>

[[Shaylynne]]'s vision:
<pre>A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Shaylynne. They blink as their gaze focuses on a specific point. You turn to see, but can't spot what they are looking at.

The ground around you seems to tremble with a silent authority.

Time slows, and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.
Before you stands a towering figure, wrapped in the scent of blood and iron, with eyes burning with battle-fueled rage. At his side, a massive reddish-gold boar snarls, its face twisted in a scream of unrelenting fury. Razor-sharp tusks gleam in the dim light, bared ferociously at some unseen foe. Yet, for all its ferocity, the boar's presence carries an unexpected comfort, a promise of unyielding strength in the face of any storm.
(Bonus Phase 4 - cast lots of sorcery to balance out the pure magic casting from Phase 1!)

<!--<div class="mw-collapsible mw-collapsed">
As you reach out to touch the boar, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes you see the Knife Clan encasement, a patch of withering blue irises beset, and a glimmer of golden light waning at the top of the spire.

The towering figure says, "The time has come to blaze a new trail. Mixed magic is the key. Stand before the last encasement and cast all that you can, for we will forge a salvo that is anathema to them, and free Knife Clan. Tell them. And hurry."

The figure slams his spear into the ground, and a golden-silver haze suffuses the area, fading with starlight crackles. The boar lets out a final, ear-splitting snort, echoing with battle cries, as He and boar vanish. The scent of iron and blood fades, replaced by the deafening silence of an empty battlefield.</pre>

[[Tirost]]'s vision:
<pre>A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Tirost. They blink as their gaze focuses on a specific point. You turn to see, but can't spot what they are looking at.

A figure cloaked in the deepest black steps forward, his tall staff crackling with barely contained power. Beneath a deep hood, no face can be seen, only the glint of hidden eyes. A low growl rumbles through the stillness as a massive black wolf pads to his side, its eyes fixed on you. Its tail wags slowly, not out of joy, but as if beckoning you closer. There's a message in its gaze, a command yet unspoken, a truth it carries from the darkened depths.

As you reach out to touch the wolf, a flurry of disparate images fight in the back of your mind for expression. Through the quick succession of flashes you see Knife Clan encasement, a patch of dry, brittle vine set aflame, and glimmer of golden light waning at the top of the spire.

The man says, "Mixed magic is the key. Stand before the last encasement and cast all that you can, for we will forge a salvo that is anathema to them, and free Knife Clan. Tell them. And hurry. Lymira needs you."

The man slams his staff into the ground, and a golden-silver haze suffuses the area, fading with starlight crackles. He and the wolf vanish and you are left with a distinct feeling of purpose, filled with a knowledge you barely recall consuming.</pre>

Events at Knife Clan:
<pre>
Time slows and the air takes on a golden light.

A hooded figure swathed in black robes appears before you, and with a dramatic flourish, begins preparing a spell, pulling streams of mana from all around. Clasping his hands together, he draws out a region of twisted space and writhing power, and exhales a golden haze into his cupped hands.

Releasing the bolus of mixed mana, the figure steps back and gestures with one hand, as if inviting you to take charge. A large black wolf steps from behind the figure, and panting happily, begins to bark, and you hear "That is the seed. Nurture it with mixed mana casting, and see that it grows. They will not like what it becomes."

The figure and the wolf suddenly vanish, though the bolus remains.

A voice roars, "This again, always with this experiment. You wallow in this filth!", and you are momentarily overwhelmed with a foreign feeling of revulsion. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.

Madigan points at a stabilized sorcerous bolus.

A gentle voice plays across the area, "My child, onward, you must continue to prepare the salvo."

A black wolf runs across your field of view, leaping high and barking excitedly! You feel encouraged to continue mixing mana!

A static fills the air as an owl perches atop a branch of a nearby tree. A piercing glow is visible in its eyes, and it watches your efforts with interest. After a moment, it takes to the air, flying to the north of the overgrowth.

A raccoon darts through the trees, chittering in your direction as if attempting to encourage you.

A majestic black crow settles at the edge of the clearing, its obsidian feathers gleaming. It gives a single caw of encouragement, before flying away.

You glimpse a gentle cow grazing in the clearing, its placid eyes reflecting a divine radiance, as if encouraging a calm sense of purpose. It wanders into the forest, before disappearing.

A wild surge of mana swirls around the bolus, snapping with no-color flashes and a dull rumble!

The bolus suddenly jitters weirdly, long tendrils whipping against the confines of the golden haze! You should probably do something about that!

A gentle voice plays across the area, "Quickly my child, stabilize the munition!"

>look bolus
A disorienting amorphous blob of mana floating several feet off the ground, the sorcerous bolus jitters wildly and lashes against its holy containment! As a veritable rainbow of colors and forms drift within the growing mass, sparks and flashes of no-color surge in headache-inducing spikes and whorls, dripping a glowing material which evaporates before it hits the ground. You believe you could STUDY it to learn more.

>study bolus
You believe you could NUDGE the bolus to help keep it contained, though it appears to be relatively stable right now. Even so, the bolus is doing all kinds of strange things, though is more or less contained by the golden haze.
Roundtime: 10 sec.

>nudge bolus
You try and gently nudge the bolus, pushing back deeper within the golden haze. After a moment, the bolus seems a bit more centered.

The bolus crackles wildly!

A series of no-color flashes make you blink uncomfortably!

A gentle voice plays across the area, "Good work my child, it is stabilized. Now, continue preparations! Mix the mana streams!"

Coiling at the foot of a tree, an adder watches you intently, as if fascinated by your acts.

A tiny creature, no larger than a child's fist, peers out from a burrow hidden beneath the tangled roots. Its fur is the color of the forest floor, and its eyes sparkle with an intelligence far beyond its size. With a squeak, its tiny paws gesture as if to mimic casting a spell. Then, with a flick of its tail, it disappears back into the darkness, leaving only a faint trail of dust in its wake.

A sleek panther emerges from the shadows, its eyes glowing with an ethereal light. Its graceful, dreamlike movements carry it along the periphery of the clearing, and it watches you, satisfied by your use of mana.

A flash of white amidst the forest catches your eye. For a moment, you see a majestic unicorn, its horn shimmering with a celestial light. You turn to get a better look, but it is gone, leaving behind only the faint scent of wildflowers.

A lone wolf emerges from the woods, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity. It stares at you for a moment before rearing its head back, echoing a howl that serves as a call to continue casting. Satisfied, it returns to the tree line, before disappearing.

A wild surge of mana swirls around the mass, snapping with no-color flashes and a loud rumble!

The mass suddenly vibrates intensely, long tendrils whipping against the confines of the golden haze! You should probably do something about that!
Roundtime: 5 sec.

An urgent voice plays across the area, "Quickly my child, again, stabilize the munition!"

>study bolus (OOC note: the interactable object noun was still BOLUS despite now being a MASS)
You believe you could NUDGE the mass to help keep it contained, though it appears to be relatively stable right now. Even so, it is doing all kinds of strange things, though it is more or less contained by the golden haze.
Roundtime: 10 sec.

> nudge bolus
You try and gently nudge the mass, pushing back deeper within the golden haze. After a moment, the mass seems a bit more centered.

The mass snarls and emits a highpitched whine!

The mass roars as no-color flames lick across its faces!

A gentle voice plays across the area, "Good work my child, it is stabilized. Now, continue preparations!"

The sorcerous orb pulses oddly, expanding and contracting as if breathing!

You catch a glimpse of a raven perched on a gnarled branch, its obsidian eyes fixed on the chaos below. In its beak, it holds a shimmering bauble inscribed with runes. With a croak that echoes through the ancient forest, the raven drops the bauble at its feet, screeching: "Vergae mag vergae galdrur!" Flapping its wings, the raven soars closer to the fray, its beady eyes filled with a knowing glint.

A voice roars, "You wallow in the mud and this leads to nothing. Why do you persist?", and you are momentarily overwhelmed with a foreign feeling of revulsion. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.

A voice roars, "Vile, absolutely vile.", and you are momentarily overwhelmed with a foreign feeling of revulsion. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.

A sleek panther emerges from the shadows, its eyes glowing with an ethereal light. Its graceful, dreamlike movements carry it along the periphery of the clearing, and it watches you, satisfied by your use of mana.

The orb suddenly vibrates intensely, long tendrils whipping against the confines of the golden haze! You should probably do something about that!

>look bolus (OOC note: the interactable object noun was still BOLUS despite now being an ORB)
A disorienting amorphous blob of mana floating several feet off the ground, the sorcerous orb appears stabilized within a haze of golden light. As a veritable rainbow of colors and forms drift within the growing mass, sparks and flashes of no-color surge in headache-inducing spikes and whorls, dripping a glowing material which sizzles and evaporates moments after it hits the ground. You believe you could STUDY it to learn more.

>study bolus

Roundtime: 10 sec.

>nudge bolus
You try and gently nudge the orb, pushing back deeper within the golden haze. After a moment, the orb seems a bit more centered.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

Roaring no-color flames burn the ground around the orb!

A flash of white amidst the forest catches your eye. For a moment, you see a majestic unicorn, its horn shimmering with a celestial light. You turn to get a better look, but it is gone, leaving behind only the faint scent of wildflowers.

A tiny creature, no larger than a child's fist, peers out from a burrow hidden beneath the tangled roots. You glimpse a gentle cow grazing in the clearing, its placid eyes reflecting a divine radiance, as if encouraging a calm sense of purpose. It wanders into the forest, before disappearing.

The orb involutes wildly, forming into a twisted toroid! The structure twists, and twists, and twists, and finally collapses back into an orb.

A static fills the air as an owl perches atop a branch of a nearby tree. A piercing glow is visible in its eyes, and it watches your efforts with interest. After a moment, it takes to the air, flying to the north of the overgrowth.

You catch a glimpse of a vibrant butterfly flitting through a field of wildflowers, its wings shimmering with iridescent colors. The butterfly hovers momentarily in front of you, and as it does so, a gentle breeze carries a sweet, intoxicating scent. It flutters gently away.

A gentle voice plays across the area, "Good work my child, it is stabilized. Now, continue preparations!"

You see a badger emerging from its burrow, its fur matted with dirt and its eyes filled with a wise, knowing look of approval. It burrows quietly back into the ground.

A scorpion stands at the center of the forest clearing, its venomous tail raised high. Its eyes glow with an otherworldly light, and its body seems to shimmer with a red aura.

A determined voice plays across the area, "Well done everyone. They are not prepared for what comes next."

The globe begins to vibrate wildly, jittering back and forth!

Lances of energy erupt from around the globe, tearing the air and burning the ground! The golden haze thickens, containing the globe!

Suddenly, you see Them, striding forward, heads held high.

A kindly man garbed in simple attire, wearing well-worn work gloves and muddy boots, one hand placed on the shoulder of a massive ox.

A man holding a black staff crackling with lightning stands with a regal owl perched atop his shoulder.

A figure wrapped in a black cloak, one hand scratching the ears of a snarling wolf.

A wild man with bright red hair, roaring proudly as he stamps a spear into the ground, his other hand guiding a massive boar by one of its sharpened tusks.

A serene woman, half her face covered by a flowing shawl, smiling gently. She holds one hand before her, a tiny nightingale perched on her index finger.

They raise their hands as one, and disappear in a haze of golden light!

The crackling sorcerous globe roars with no-color light, and the golden haze containing it thickens and spirals inward! In a fraction of a moment, the entire globe collapses into a pinpoint, and vanishes entirely!

A voice sputters, "How... dare...", and then trails off in choking revulsion. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.

Several things happen at once.

Several beams of holy light rake across the encasement, burning vine and shattering stone!

The beams continue their destruction of the encasement, leaves burning to ash and scattering in the wind!

Focusing around a single large stone, the beams concentrate their fire, and a large section of the encasement explodes!

With a final massive pulse of energy, the beams slice across the base of the encasement, leaving unblemished land in their wake!

A thundrous explosion knocks you back! You find yourself...

A voice roars, "No. Unacceptable. You flaunt this toxicity, your pollution. Enough! ENOUGH!", and you are momentarily overwhelmed with a foreign feeling of disgust. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.

The sky seems to flicker oddly.

(Moon Mages Only)
Something is wrong.

The stars begin to vanish one after another, each pinpoint of light disappearing with metronomic precision, one, after, another.

(Moon Mages Only)
An indescribably jarring rend steals your breath, and the stars begin to scream. Steadily, with metronomic precision, they go silent, one, after, another, the Wolf, the Raven, the Unicorn, the Panther, the Boar, the Cobra, the Dolphin, the Cat, the Wren, the Lion, the Ram, the Ox, and finally, the elusive Scorpion.

You watch three looming figures materialize in the heavens above, staring down with obvious malice.

(Moon Mages Only)
Suddenly, there is a new presence, an ancient will allowing itself to be seen, to be felt. And They rise, higher and higher, all around, scaring away the horrors that exist between, that exist without, They stomp with heavy feet and snarling malice. The sky is Theirs. Fate was always Theirs.
</pre>
Now, when you observe sky, you see three Heralds ([[Kirmhara]], [[Elide]], and [[Issendar]]) peering down at you (if the sky is clear). There are also no stars.
<pre>> observe sky
You glance up at the sky.
It's quite cloudy and a bit muggy.
The following heavenly bodies are visible:
Over half of the dawn sun is obscured by clouds.
The planet Durgaulda is unobscured by clouds.
Over half of the planet Yoakena is obscured by clouds.
The planet Szeldia is unobscured by clouds.
Over half of the planet Dawgolesh is obscured by clouds.
The Herald Kirmhara is unobscured by clouds.
All but the smallest bit of the Herald Elide is obscured by clouds.
Most of the Herald Issendar is obscured from view.
Katamba is below the horizon.
Xibar is below the horizon.
Yavash is below the horizon.

Acknowledging the long time since her last visit and offering what she considers her greatest gift, her song, she plays her cittern and sings a heartfelt melody, expressing her loyalty as a Bard and minstrel. After finishing her song, she quietly leaves, feeling the weight of her offering and hoping for [[Faenella]]'s acceptance despite her flaws.

Your vision blurs a moment, and when you blink, you find yourself looking at a forest clearing redolent with tiny flowers, each with three rounded petals opening toward the sun. A river twists in the distance, and for a moment you think you see it turning back on itself in an endless loop. Time speeds, and you see the sun ride through the sky overhead, disappear into sunset, and then rise once more. You blink again and find the vision has faded.
\
A palpable serenity fills the air, and the breeze appears to carry distinct words that seem to echo in song: "Take your rest, but don't stay long." The breeze picks up to a howling wind that comes from the west.

You are struck once more by a vision. This time, your view suddenly expands, and time speeds further than before -- you view the movements of tribes, and the rise and fall of Hubs. You see the endless cycle of hunting and the birth of new prey. Eventually, your view comes to rest on the crest of a great plateau, a Prydaen woman standing there. When she turns to look at you, you see that she is ancient, grey and silver shot through otherwise dark fur. She holds your gaze for a long moment, as if appraising, then gives you a nod, the faint hint of a smile on her face. Her tail floats tranquilly as she turns away again, and the vision ends. You are filled with a feeling of peace.</pre>

Your vision blurs, and when you blink, you see an encampment of mainly Humans and Gor'Togs, looking grateful as they pack up their things. A mongoose darts among them, carrying a writhing vine in its jaws. The commonfolk pay it no mind, but as it passes by some of the armored guards on the outskirts, they stand up straighter, their eyes determined, their demeanor shifting toward strength and pride. The mongoose snaps its head back and forth wildly, tearing the vine to shreds. A gentle golden haze overtakes your sight, and when you blink, the vision has cleared.

A sleek mongoose darts across your field of vision, suddenly stopping to sit up straight on its back legs, an air of nobility around it. It lowers back onto its forelegs and slowly approaches the crowd, weaving through members, until it comes to rest in front of Miraena. Suddenly, it shoots off again, rushing behind her and disappearing.

The spry mongoose returns, and Miraena kneels down before it, one hand outstretched. The small creature sits again and regards her, then slowly approaches and nuzzles her hand, suddenly dashing up one arm to come to rest on her shoulder. She stands and finds herself laughing at the surprise, but before she can react further, it vanishes in a haze of golden light, disappearing.</pre>

The Immortals Stir

Date Summary Link

Sep 21, 2024
Five adventurers, Avrenka, Briaen, Karthor, Kethrai and Nawain, receive personalized visions from their respective Immortals. The Immortals initiate an attack on the encasement surrounding Dirge. Adventurers were beset upon by drakes, but were eventually able to take up axes and aid in cutting down the encasement. Dirge became accessible again.

Expand for details.

Avrenka's vision:

The light around you flares with blinding authority.

He and the mongoose vanish.

Briaen's vision:

The light around you flares with blinding authority.

She and the cow vanish.

Karthor's vision:

The air around you hums with a silent authority.

He and the raven vanish.

Kethrai's vision:

The air around you hums with a silent authority.

She and the unicorn vanish, leaving behind a sense of profound peace and divine protection, as though the very essence of purity has embraced your soul.

Nawains's vision:

The sound of fluttering wings cascades around you, growing louder with each passing moment.

The swarm's wings leave dusky trails of sparkling golden light, and you are filled with a renewed sense of purpose and peace.

Messaging from Dirge:

During the exchange, you could attack the vines.

> look vine
A section of the enclosure has fallen, the thick vine laying coiled nearby, outside the reach of the writhing wall. This vine appears damaged, dried and desiccated, embedded with clusters of brecciated rock. You are certain you could CUT it.

> cut vine
You grab a nearby axe, hefting it at the tangled vines! You are able to muster your strength and strike a more solid blow!
Your axe lands a devastating strike against the vines, cutting a significant gouge into them with a satisfying *THUNK*. You discard the axe, preparing for another assault from the drakes.

Allye's vision:

The light around you flares with blinding authority.

A radiant figure emerges, bathed in the golden hues of wheat, her face serene and filled with an endless well of compassion.

She and the cow vanish.

Imroth's vision:

A stalwart figure emerges, clothed in simple and rustic garments, his gaze ogrish but wholesome.

He and the donkey vanish.

Kerennya's vision:

The air around you hums with a silent authority.

Though gasping for breath, you feel as though the very essence of purity has embraced your soul.

Khearkrash's vision:

The air around you takes on the scent of decay.

As you regain your resolve, you feel as though the very essence of pain has embraced your soul.

Ruea's vision:

The shadows darken swiftly and rumble with authority.

You are struck with a renewed sense of purpose and peace.

Urbaj's vision:

A figure emerges, his presence marked by the scent of earth and metal, a testament to his dominion over craftsmanship and the treasures of the deep.

He and the raven vanish.

Waydren's vision:

The air around you hums with a silent authority.

She and the unicorn vanish leaving behind a sense of profound peace and divine protection, as though the very root of nature has embraced your soul.

Aaiyaah's vision:

A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Aaiyaah.

He and the ox vanish.

Eyst's vision:

A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Eyst.

Still, strangely, you feel full of purpose and urgency.

Maintain's vision:

A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Maintain. They blink as their gaze focuses on a specific point. You turn to see, but can't spot what they are looking at.

The air around you hums with a silent authority.

Time slows, and the air takes on a golden light. Everything goes silent.

Tell them. And hurry."

The figure holds out his staff towards you. Instinctively, you reach out to grasp it, only to be bewildered by a battery of lightning. A golden-silver haze suffuses the area and you are left with a distinct feeling of wisdom and of knowledge you barely recall consuming. He and the owl vanish.

Shaylynne's vision:

A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Shaylynne.

The scent of iron and blood fades, replaced by the deafening silence of an empty battlefield.

Tirost's vision:

A beam of golden light suddenly bathes Tirost.

He and the wolf vanish and you are left with a distinct feeling of purpose, filled with a knowledge you barely recall consuming.

Events at Knife Clan:

A wild surge of mana swirls around the mass, snapping with no-color flashes and a loud rumble!

A voice roars, "Look at that horrific creation. Absolutely disgusting.", and you are momentarily overwhelmed with a foreign feeling of revulsion. You cannot recall what the voice sounded like, though it echoes all around you.

The orb suddenly vibrates intensely, long tendrils whipping against the confines of the golden haze! You should probably do something about that!

An urgent voice plays across the area, "Quickly my child, again, stabilize the munition!"

>look bolus (OOC note: the interactable object noun was still BOLUS despite now being an ORB)
You believe you could STUDY it to learn more.

>study bolus

Now, when you observe sky, you see three Heralds (Kirmhara, Elide, and Issendar) peering down at you (if the sky is clear). There are also no stars.

> observe sky
You glance up at the sky.
It's quite cloudy and a bit muggy.
The following heavenly bodies are visible:
Over half of the dawn sun is obscured by clouds.
The planet Durgaulda is unobscured by clouds.
Over half of the planet Yoakena is obscured by clouds.

Time slows and the air takes on a verdant green light.

You are filled with a feeling of peace.

Time slows and the air takes on a golden light.

She stands and finds herself laughing at the surprise, but before she can react further, it vanishes in a haze of golden light, disappearing.
