Appearance
Sublime Mender Kerennya Wavedancer, Transcendent Empath of Aesry Surlaenis'a, an Elf.
She has a heart-shaped face with a generous mouth, pointed ears, kind eyes, one blue-green and one turquoise, and an upturned nose. Her golden brown-streaked brunette hair is very long and curly, and is worn in a simple, loose style. She has tanned skin and a lissome figure.
She is wearing a dainty pair of seastar tourmaline tidal lily combs, a pair of demure golden earrings shaped like leaping dolphins, a teal gossamer ribbon with a nautilus-shaped seaglass pendant, an azure oceanmist satin mantle embroidered with gold threads, an acenite sea unicorn with a glittering tail of coralite, a blue-green watersilk tunic with white embroidery along the hemline, a striking cassava root bangle painted in shades of blue, some sapphire leather leggings and a pair of stylish teal blue knee-high boots with low ironwood heels.

Family
Kerennya does not speak at all of her early life, but does speak openly and fondly of her blood family in the Crossing, namely her daughter Kerenelle and her brothers Jalethan and Malokar, as well as various friends she has adopted.
Background
Arrival in Elanthia
In approximately 345 AV, Kerennya arrived in the Crossing, although she does not often speak of her reasons for coming. Having been interested in healing the very first time she ever saw the clan's empath heal another, she immediately elected to join that guild. She also elected to reject her clan of origin and identify as a Celestial Elf. During this time, she took up with a young trader, and around 386 AV, found herself pregnant.
Separation from Kerenelle and Flight to Aesry Surlaenis'a
As the time for the birth of her child drew near in 387 AV, Kerennya received a summons back to her clan of origin that she felt she could not refuse. She returned with trepidation, and indeed, before she arrived back there, agents of her enemy accosted and beat her, leaving her for dead. She awoke to find her clan's strongest empath standing over her and her sister recovering from a miscarriage. Her own child, a daughter, had been born while she was unconscious. Although Kerennya's wounds had been healed, she felt herself too weak to care for an infant and herself, too. Since her sister's husband was away and hadn't yet been told about his wife's miscarriage, Kerennya offered her daughter to her sister and asked if she would pass the child off as her own, feeling that that had the best odds of keeping the child safe. The sister accepted with tears in her eyes, and in the dark of night, still weak, Kerennya snuck out of her home clan and decided to move permanently to Aesry Surlaenis'a, having fallen in love with the place the first time she visited there, and feeling it remote and deserted enough that her enemy's agents would be unlikely to seek her out there. She felt the loss of her daughter every day, particularly whenever she would see a young girl near the age of her own, but she forced herself to dwell on the fact that her daughter was safe, and that was all that mattered.
Return to the Mainland and Meeting Kerenelle
In 436 AV, Kerennya felt an urge to return to civilization, and so she left her self-imposed exile behind and risked a return to the Crossing. She met a young empath who bore a striking to resemblance and was shocked to learn the empath's name was Kerenelle. Feeling this resemblance of appearance and name could not be a coincidence, she asked the young empath about her upbringing and was overjoyed to find that Kerenelle was indeed her daughter, her sister having named the girl in honor of her birth mother. Summoning her sister to Crossing, she and Kerennya sat down with Kerenelle and explained the truth of her birth to her. Kerenelle was upset for a time, but in time accepted Kerennya as a second mother, much to Kerennya's great joy.
Marriage
After the conflict which led to her separation from Kerenelle, Kerennya has decided not to take a mate, fearing that her enemy might harm a mate as a means of hurting her.
Personality
Kerennya maintains an air of reserve, preferring to speak only when she has something to say, a trait she picked up from her clan of origin. She also believes it is important to listen to the best of her ability. However, once she has spent the time to get to know someone, she can be quite warm and caring. She often wears a haunted expression, as though there is something from her past that she has not been able to shake.
Hobbies
Kerennya's favorite outdoor activities are swimming, which was a necessity living on Aesry, and ice skating, which she discovered when she returned to the mainland. She loves combining the use of toe bells, dance skirts, and dance veils out on the ice to create memorable performances.
Interests
Kerennya collects ocean-themed items, which she wears when the weather permits, and is a dedicated crafter, practicing one craft from each of the five disciplines. She has a particular aptitude for shaping, and hopes to eventually specialize in cooking and either jewelry-making or artistry.
Religion
Kerennya's time on the island of Aesry Surlaenis'a led her to love the goddess Eluned, feeling that without knowledge, one cannot navigate life effectively. In honor of the goddess, she owns many items that sport the goddess' avatar, the dolphin.
