Description

The spotted bobcat is poised, graceful, and appears to be at ease yet ready to spring. It fixes its golden eyes on you, and you are mesmerized for a moment, yet your instincts scream to submit as you look away first. Finally the spotted bobcat turns his attention elsewhere, looking bored by the encounter. Yet you are certain it will mark your every move with a wariness it does not show.

Area Info

Spotted bobcats inhabit the Talas Sagamat mine in Fang Cove, an Illithi province premium hunting area (PREMIUM 6 3). To reach their habitat from Fang Cove's eastern gate, GO GATE, E, NE, E, CLIMB the STAIRWAY, GO into the CAVE, SEARCH the WALL and then, once found, GO through the GAP. It requires a practitioner (50 ranks) of perception to find the gap in the wall to enter the mine's Alcove. Once in the Alcove, GO ROOTS to enter the Western Tunnel, the bobcats habitat.

  • Be mindful of lingering in the Alcove. It is quartz gargoyle territory and they are significantly more dangerous foes than the bobcats.
  • Spotted bobcats have a good spawn rate and spawn in all six rooms of the Western Tunnel.
  • Their habitat is indoors so they start advancing at pole range and often spawn in packs of two.
  • The area (being a mine) is obviously suitable for mining and consequently not suitable for lumberjacking. It is also suitable for foraging.
