Tasks

Task Options

On arrival to the area, there are three types of tasks available to complete for Fame: Combat, Tower Traps, or Seeds of Entropy, which is also often referred to as "Empath" task due to the NPC. For any task to award Fame, first find the npc that begins the task type you want to engage with. You can only REDEEM your Su Helmas contract(s) with these NPCs.

  • Combat Tasks
Su Helmas expedition ziggurat climber - Combat on the ziggurat, where you will battle construct monstrosities and many huge and hungry plant-creatures.
Su Helmas expedition graveyard explorer - Combat in the desolate field and sunken pit, where you will find construct golems and many undead.
  • Non-Combat Tasks
empath wreathed in violet robes - Non-Combat into the catacombs deep below Su Helmas, where you search for and destroy the Seed of Entropy.
aged Su Helmas expedition archeologist - Non-Combat in the twisting, maze-like corridors and towers of Su Helmas, where you will find traps blocking your way that you will need to disable. (New to 2022!)
Contracts

You will need to REDEEM your Su Helmas contract(s) in order to start tasks and you can redeem multiples. To check that your contract(s) have been activated, check the bottom of your INFO. An additional section will appear with the following text: Forbidden Temple of Su Helmas, charges remaining:

Task: Combat

2022 Change - Everyone with an active pass in the room when a kill is completed will receive an incidental in their At Feet slot. If you have an active pass and are in the room when a mob is killed you will be award Fame and an Incidental in your At Feet. You will be kicked out shortly after unless you still have more active passes.

Each kill completes a single contract task. If you have an active pass, any kill in a room you are in will complete your task, even if you did not kill it yourself. Every task awards an incidental, which is placed in your At Feet slot.

After REDEEMING your contract:

  1. ASK CLIMBER ABOUT ACCESS for the creatures in the Ziggurat area.
Creatures in this area: clockwork monstrosities, race-eating mantraps, overgrown plants, and massive rafflesias.
  2. ASK EXPLORER ABOUT ACCESS for the creatures in the Desolate Field and Sunken Pit areas.
Creatures in this area: sandstone golems and arisen ghoulish fishers, beggars, socialites, guards, farmers, teachers, and villagers.

Task: Seeds of Entropy (Non-Combat)

JOIN an empath wreathed in violet robes. They will summon a guide, who leads you deep beneath Su Helmas. You must perform a series of actions to navigate deeper in the catacombs until you reach a Seed of Entropy. Destroy it to complete the task.

(This task is mechanically similar to the Duskuin Bank Heist. HELP is available if you get stuck.)

How to Begin

  • Task is started with the empath wreathed in violet robes npc.
  • As you complete the tasks in a room you will be auto-moved to the next room.
  • JOIN EMPATH to begin.

Note - As long as you have another pass REDEEMed, you can remain in the Tower Traps task, otherwise you will be removed as soon as you complete disarming your trap. If you would like to leave the Trap area, use STOP. When you are inside the Trap area, you can check TASK and it will give you information about what to do, including how to leave without spending more contracts by completing another task.
