The empath wreathed in violet robes was first seen in Su Helmas: Revealed! and is a task-related NPC for the Su Helmas.
The empath NPC begins a non-combat task for Su Helmas called Seeds of Entropy in which the adventurer is taken by a guide into the catacombs below Su Helmas and then left to find their way deeper beneath Su Helmas, locate a Seed of Entropy and destroy it -- or in the case of an Empath adventurer, alter the Seed so that it will never hatch.
