Su Helmas 440: Entrapped
Access to the area can be found in Crossing at the southeast corner of the Town Green (TGSE). The portal is open to everyone with no purchase from the Simucoin store required. Contracts from the Simucoin store are required to complete tasks within the event and earn Su Helmas fame.

Tasks
On arrival to the area, there are 2 types of tasks available to complete for fame. For either task to award fame, first find the Su Helmas expedition ziggurat climber, the Su Helmas expedition graveyard explorer, the expedition archeologist, or the empath wreathed in violet robes. You will also need to REDEEM your contract(s) in order to start tasks. To check that your contract(s) have been activated, check the bottom of your INFO. Each completed task will award 10 or 11 Su Helmas fame. You can check your fame with the TICKET command.
Non-Combat Trap Puzzle
- 2022 Change - The Previous Non-Combat Ward Puzzle has been removed.[1]
Moving east into the Antechamber East area, you will now find an expedition archeologist that can grant you access to the previously blocked and entrapped corridors and towers of Su Helmas. This area is a maze and some directions are one-way only.
As long as you have another pass REDEEMed, you can remain in the Trap Task, otherwise you will be removed as soon as you complete disarming your trap. If you would like to leave the Trap area, use STOP. When you are inside the new Trap area, you can check TASK and it will give you information about what to do, including how to leave without spending pass/completing task.
How To Begin
- Task is started with an expedition archeologist npc.
- Once you are inside, you will need to find your trap.
- ASK ARCHEOLOGIST FOR ACCESS to begin this task.
How To Progress
- SEARCH for the room with a trap for you.
- APPRAISE the trap for more information.
- DISARM QUICK to quickly finish, but you take the trap's consequence and get no experience.
- DISARM to finish at normal speed, use a skill check against the trap, and if you succeed, you take no trap consequence and receive experience in the skill you used on the trap.
- DISARM CAREFUL to have a 100% chance of success, take no trap consequence, and get no experience.
Hunting
- 2022 Change - Everyone with an active pass in the room when a kill is completed will receive an incidental in their At Feet slot. If you have an active pass and are in the room when a mob is killed you will be award Fame and an Incidental in your At Feet. You will be kicked out shortly after unless you still have more active passes.
Each kill completes a single contract task. If you have an active pass, any kill in a room you are in will complete your task, even if you did not kill it yourself. Every task awards an incidental, which is placed in your At Feet slot. After REDEEMING your contract:
- ASK CLIMBER ABOUT ACCESS for the creatures in the Ziggurat area
- ASK EXPLORER ABOUT ACCESS for the creatures in the Desolate Field and Sunken Pit areas.
Seeds of Entropy
JOIN an empath wreathed in violet robes. They will summon a guide, who leads you deep beneath Su Helmas. You must perform a series of actions to navigate deeper in the catacombs until you reach a Seed of Entropy. Destroy it to complete the task.
(This task is mechanically similar to the Duskuin Bank Heist. HELP is available if you get stuck.)
How to Begin
- Task is started with the empath wreathed in violet robes npc.
- As you complete the tasks in a room you will be automoved to the next room.
- JOIN EMPATH to begin.

- You can use HELP to get a hint in each room as to your options for commands.

Incidental Trade-Ins
The incidental trader is back in a different form, in the northern room is a sun-baked elderly archaeologist.
- ASK ARCHAEOLOGIST FOR a SACK.
- Put any of the prizes you're willing to part with in, and GIVE SACK TO ARCHAEOLOGIST to initiate the exchange. Not all types of items will fit inside.
- Do NOT put something in the sack unless you are willing to lose it!
