While her rejection from the Ru'atin can be blamed as the beginnings of her hatred of Bards, so too, can the fact that the Bards of Elanthia were her strongest opposition from the beginning. While the Bard Guild of this time was all but destroyed, the Ru'atin Peri'el fled for their lives from the Dragon Priests during the war, as Dzree surely would have had them killed. Today, all sects of the Sisters of Peri'el have been destroyed, save for the group which now lives in [[Aesry Surlaenis'a]]. Dzree was the founder of the modern fanatical Dragon Priest Empire.
Beginnings
In her youth, Dzree attempted to join the Ru'atin Peri'el, a secular group of S'Kra Mur that devote their lives to assisting Peri'el in keeping the World Dragon slumbering deep within Elanthia. The entrance exam proved to be too difficult for young Dzree, and she was rejected.
Unsurprisingly, Dzree found a new religious purpose when she became a Dragon Priest. Dzree was the loyal student and promising protege of Sh'kial, the first Dragon Priest. While Sh'kial's beliefs were considered fanatical, Dzree had darker ideas of what should be offered in sacrifice to the World Dragon. Once Sh'kial found out about Dzree's desire to sacrifice Humans and Elves, he spoke out against her. In retaliation, Dzree assassinated him in 205 BL.
Dzree began to lead a new sect of Dragon Priests. As Leader of the Dragon Priests, she named herself High Priestess and presided over a wide-ranging purge.
