Abylina, a Human Paladin, was adopted into the family long ago.
History
Born in Wingtip Cove along the coast southeast of Leth Deriel, Eriniel is the older of two sisters, born to Sunara, a Moon Mage, and Lamar, a Trader.
Eriniel had a hard time accepting the Kaldar when they first arrived in Kermoria, since one of her earliest memories is of Gorbesh raiders burning the small village of Wingtip Cove to the ground, murdering many of her friends and relatives. Luckily, her family lived on the mountain peak above the village---to aid her mother's studies---enabling the sisters to hide undetected in the treetops until the invaders left. Miraculously, her mother and father survived the battle. Yet still, her mother died of disease in the aftermath. And, when the Kaldaran migration began, following the Gnomic prophet Trimbolt, several were left in the Cove by pirates who ransomed their belongings in return for passage to a safe harbor. Among them, although he may not remember a very young Elven maiden, she clearly remembers the stately presence of one named Hanryu. And, so she eventually befriended them before they moved on and grew to admire their hard work ethics and family unity.
Her mother's death inspired Eriniel to travel to Crossing in search of training as an Empath. After gaining many ranks as a healer, she decided to travel---first to Riverhaven, then to Therenborough, Aesry Surlaenis'a, and Ratha---only to return to Crossing a year later.
