... here's long overdue information on runestone materials! Most of these materials can't be used in alterations, but they sometimes do show up on very special items. Some of the information here is old news to most of you, but it's included for completion.

Albredine - Albredine is a material similar to glass, but always magical. It has strange properties that allow for mind-to-mind communication.

Asketine - This is a Compost runestone. It is dark grey with occasional flecks of silver blended into it.

Calaverite(sic) - This is an Arc Light runestone. It has a metallic lustre, and its color may range from a silvery white to a brassy yellow.

Cambrinth - Cambrinth stores magical energy for later use. Once cambrinth has been charged by one type of magic, it cannot be charged by another without exploding. Cambrinth is a silvery grey-black mineral with reddish highlights.

Celeste - This is a Refractive Field runestone. It is a pale blue crystal.

Elbaite - This is a Sphere of Protection runestone. It is colorful, similar to the rainbows playing off the surface of a soap bubble.

Gaethzen - Gaethzen is an unusual substance that holds magic very well and uses the mana inside it to cast a steady glow. Unactivated gaethzen has faint bands of color which swirl gently within the milky glass-like material. When it's activated, it glows softly, emitting a steady light.

Hafaltu - This is a Multiple Ethereal Shields runestone. It is a metal that is a dark green color and is dense and non-reflective. It is always found running through hard stones (like marble) in small veins.

Ilmenite - This casts the Lightning Bolt spell. It is a pale silver metal tinged through with blue streaks.

Imnera - This casts the Zephyr spell. The material is a clear type of glass with white swirls throughout it.

Jadeite - This is a small opaque stone of an emerald green shade and a dull lustre. It is used for gwethdesuans because of its inherent magical properties.

Kyanite - This is a hard mineral that typically comes in blue with white streaks, but can also be green, white, grey, or black. It has a pearly, translucent lustre and is somewhat brittle. It is used for gwethdesuans because of its inherent magical properties.

Lantholite - This is a small translucent stone made of soft green with an opaque black center. It is/was used for gwethdesuans because of its inherent magical properties.
