Once again, the temple was raided, with more artwork and artifacts being taken before combat began in earnest. After a heated battle, the attendees once more vanquished the invaders and restored peace to the gathering. Eskerith concluded things by making a statement that he did not seek revenge and that none of the worshippers at the Temple would either. He affirmed his commitment to the path of peace but also said he understood if others were unable to join him on that path due to their own convictions. He also said his next gathering would be a tour of the temple grounds, not a worship service, and that he would be honored to once more have the same attendance as he has had this time and prior. |

He is Dragon Priest Eskerith Krathkal, Pejek'zhra of Muspar'i, a S'Kra Mur Empath.
Eskerith's eyes are lost within the hollow sockets of a forbidding dragon-skull mask. His lips are barely visible, framed by a maw of long teeth. Twisting out from the forehead, twin horns arc in regal courses above his head, lending an air of might to his silhouette.
He is in good shape.
Possessions
As a member of the Dragon Priests, Eskerith dresses in a religious manner and adorns himself with many trappings that proclaim his faith in the World Dragon.
Attire
He is wearing a forbidding dragon-skull mask with long teeth and majestically sweeping horns, a dark-scaled desert shroud clasped by a heavy iron yeehar cloak pin, a dark steel chain crafted from interlocking links of discolored metal, a dragon-embroidered cassock of copper Velakan linen overlain with pale khiynit, a simple niello ring, a faded black prayer sash embroidered with a fierce dragon, a shrunken yeehar skull with twin howlite spheres set into the eye sockets, some sand-hued Velakan linen pants, a pair of brown yeehar-hide sandals with rawhide straps and a dark steel tailband embossed with a black-on-black niello dragon.
History
Eskerith was raised in the desert city of Muspar'i and worshiped at the World Dragon Temple since birth, having an extensive family history of attendance there which dates back to the founding of the city itself. When he reached his twenties, he ventured out in the greater Elanthian landscape to both learn more about the world and to make a name for himself. Having learned the art of healing from Gaktrhn at Tysoeti's Hospital, he joined the Empath's Guild upon reaching Riverhaven. He continued that work during his travels and served as a doctor to those in need of healing as he moved from place to place.
He is a regular face in the Empath's Guild Courtyard of the city of Crossings, frequently being seen there teaching classes in forging metal to any and all who will listen. Likewise, as one of the few Dragon Priests not associated with the Dragon Priest Empire or with those who operate in Ilithi and Forfedhdar, he has become known publicly for his worship and beliefs after giving a speech about them during a meeting of the Bards Guild. Eskerith has made it known that he is willing to talk to anyone interested in knowing more and strives to spread information about the peaceful ways of the "true" Dragon Priests.
Due to the honesty and openness of his worship, he has earned ire and contempt from many Bards. Though most just choose to ignore him or avoid interaction, some have gone far enough as to make threats of serious harm should he ever turn from the path of peace. Despite this, Eskerith has found companionship with several entertainers operating in both Muspar'i and the Velakan Desert. Through his frequent dealings with the Sand Elves living in the area, he has learned to speak the language and feels a kinship with them as people of the desert.
World Dragon Worship
Eskerith has recently begun to hold gatherings at the World Dragon Temple in Muspar'i and publicly show some of the rituals he uses to worship. These gatherings have been attended by fellow worshippers in addition to curious individuals who seek to learn more. The reception has been one that Eskerith finds encouraging, although these demonstrations have been interrupted by High Priestess Suulnir and warriors of the Dragon Priest Empire operating under her command.
The True Way to Worship the World Dragon
At the first of these gatherings, the High Priestess entered through a moongate with a regiment that she had claimed was there for her protection. She asked Eskerith to affirm that he loved the Dragon Emperor Ael'thraxus and to recognize his "glorious ascension". Eskerith declined to do this and stated that he had no love for the Emperor and that he only had "glory in his heart for the true path". This upset the High Priestess, who commanded her troops to sack the Temple, taking many pieces of artwork and several holy relics. Attendees of the gathering were attacked by a number of Dragon Priest Assassins who were soundly defeated by the skilled combatants.
More Ways to Worship the World Dragon
During the second gathering at the World Dragon temple, the High Priestess once again interrupted things. This time, appearing through a blue-colored rift in space. Once again, she was accompanied by a number of warriors serving the Dragon Priest Empire and seemed to take possession of Eskerith. After touching him on the forehead, he began to act and speak in strange ways that seemed to be forced.
