Vykathi are described as an infamous race of carnivorous insects [1]. However, they are not recognized as a sentient race whose name requires capitalization [2]. As a huntable creature, they would only warrant such recognition by exception [3]. Their use of oravir slivers as currency [4] suggests intelligence, a key factor in exceptions [5].
