Capitalization
Vykathi are described as an infamous race of carnivorous insects [1]. However, they are not recognized as a sentient race whose name requires capitalization [2]. As a huntable creature, they would only warrant such recognition by exception [3]. Their use of oravir slivers as currency [4] suggests intelligence, a key factor in exceptions [5]. Yet, their appearance does not support an exception. "A good starting point for determining exceptions is the form seen in creature names in hunting areas [6]." In hunting areas, the adjective 'vykathi' in creature names appears in lowercase. There are a few instances where 'vykathi' is capitalized [7], but they are the minority. In most instances, 'vykathi' appears in lowercase. Most notably, in the Vykathi Queen's description, another race, the Kaldar, is capitalized, while her own, the vykathi, is not.
