Hollow Eve exclusives:
Discovered by renowned explorer Sunddan Harlabeck on the western coast of Taisgath, these gems come in a wide range of colors, with black being the most rare and expensive. Deep within the heart of the gem is a luminescent inclusion that appears to ripple when viewed at various angles as it rises vertically from the culet in a jagged display. Discovered by renowned explorer Sunddan Harlabeck along the shores of the Jademist River, near the Lake of Tears, the brilliant gems have a wide range of hues in the blue spectrum. Formed in a teardrop shape, the slightly opaque gems bear a unique chatoyance that displays a luminous waterlike effect that shimmers with a silky luster when viewed in the light. Similar to encapsulated, crystalline water. Discovered by renowned explorer Sunddan Harlabeck in a deep vein running through the area of Forisaad, these magnificently vibrant, teal gems bear their unique inclusion similar to that of a peacock feather's eye. Formed with a deep/dark blue center, the eye is surrounded by an opalescent ring that radiates threadlike hues of bright green and gold, the remainder of the gem replete with minute tendrils of amber that glint lustrously when displayed in the light. Discovered by renowned explorer Sunddan Harlabeck along the trench in the Hrendh Skogar, near Raven's Point, these gems are only found in hues of pale to dark grey, each with brilliant clarity save for the deep black distended inclusion pierced with a threadlike vein of silver, bloodstone, emerald, or chartreuse that forms a wicked hook within the heart of the gem. A dichroic gem, the merlot ruby appears as a deep purple-tinged red when viewed at one angle, and as a bright raspberry hue when viewed at a tilt. An ever-so-slight silky lustre is visible within the stone, making it a bit less transparent than the average ruby, but greatly enhancing scintillation even when uncut. Merlot rubies are frequently highly faceted to create an effect that mimics light shining through a glass of rich red wine. An opaque stone that is highly reflective but distorts reflections like a funhouse mirror even when cut to be completely smooth and flat. Atulave is most commonly seen with a rather unremarkable medium grey hue, though much more rare examples of the stone can be found in nearly any imaginable color. All samples of atulave bear thin, pale, filament-like markings. When found in any color other than grey, the stone is called "stura atulave", indicating its particularly revered status, though all colors of atulave are considered sacred to Harawep. Captain Kurmin was led to a deposit of this stone by a vision from Harawep. Named by Kurmin. These rare eight-petaled flowers sometimes spring up in the wake of lightning strikes. They are generally found in jagged clusters in shades of deep red or blue, and have pale grey stems and leaves. Thin, silken strands sprout from beneath each blossom, trailing like errant webbing. Legends associate them with impending strife, and it is said that to give another a gift bearing even the image of a negeri blossom is to bestow upon them ill fortune. Conversely, in some circles it has become increasingly popular to wear preserved negeri blossoms as a symbol of one's fearlessness. Whispered tales also mention assassins bearing blades with images of negeri blossoms, believing the engravings to bring them added silence and swiftness in their dark deeds. Etymology: spider in gerenshuge A negerat is a small, crystallized seed pod of the negeri blossom plant. Frequently used as a gem-like decoration. Ghostly white and shimmered, its appearance has been likened to that of a cluster of spider eggs. Unlike the blossom itself, negerat are not considered an ill omen, and often are used in charms to ward off bad luck, keep a clear head, and avoid deception or manipulation. Black metal with a chitinous appearance once worked. Thought to be related to the bio-magical-mechanical transformations of the Massive Arachind. Considered sacred to Harawep. Etymology: deceit in Gorbesh
an opaque fabric composed of a spectrum of colors that blends seamlessly in the conventional rainbow hues -- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet. It can be woven with any pattern imaginable, but all colors of the rainbow are on display within any given weave. The warp of spun rainbow is made of solid multi-colored threads and the weft is made of glittery clear crystalline threads to give it a sparkling yet misty top sheen. A type of fabric that is created by a pale blue gauze overlay quilted to its base silk fabric with iridescent thread in a hexagonal pattern, much like a snowflake's water crystal structure. The base silk fabric can be any color, but will always have an overlay of pale blue gauze, tinting any color. This mineral displays a black to transparent base layered with spectral hues, the iridescence glimmering with rainbows when turned under direct light. Unearthly blues and eerie greens dominate the stones like the aurora in a clear sky, melding with fiery oranges and reds in more expensive examples. While it can rarely form perfect prisms, spectrolite generally requires polishing to capture the play of light, often in the form of cabochons. | |
