Forge

[Crossing Forging Society, Forge]
Several large grindstones on wooden frames stand in the middle of the workroom. From time to time, a Dwarven apprentice scatters sand over the floor, both for more secure footing and as a safeguard against fire from the sparks cascading off the grindstones. A high-pitched keening and the smell of hot metal rise from those in use and from others to the south.
You also see a glowing forge, an iron anvil, a pile of fuel, a slack tub filled with water and a large waste bucket.
Obvious exits: south.

Forge

[Crossing Forging Society, Forge]
The south end of the grindstone room has a few more of the big stone wheels, all in good condition. Apprentices of Yalda inspect them daily, treating them with oil and checking for chips on the grinding face. Other grindstones stand to the north.
You also see a large waste bucket, a slack tub filled with water, a pile of fuel, an iron anvil and a glowing forge.
Obvious exits: north.

Foundry

[Crossing Forging Society, Foundry]
Waves of heat, blasting with an almost tangible force, roll from the flames of a brick-lined firepit. Over the firepit, a blackened granite crucible hangs by stout chains from an oak beam high overhead. Near the crucible's spout stand stone molds of different shapes, with a pile of fuel within easy reach. Similar crucibles hang to the north and south.
You also see a pile of fuel, a large waste bucket and an ingot cutter.
Obvious exits: north, east, south, west.

Foundry

[Crossing Forging Society, Foundry]
This area is the one most favored by the knowledgeable smiths in the guild. Tall, narrow windows in the northern wall admit whatever breaths of air are stirring, occasionally fanning the flames beneath a granite crucible. Like the two foundries to the south, this one has all needed implements close at hand.
You also see a pile of fuel, a large waste bucket and an ingot cutter.
Obvious exits: south.

Foundry

[Crossing Forging Society, Foundry]
Windows high in the vaulted ceiling ventilate the south corner of the foundry, reducing its oven-like temperature to something endurable. The forms of a granite crucible and a pile of fuel shimmer in the heat waves rising from the orange bricks of the firepits. Two similar crucibles hang to the north.
You also see a pile of fuel, a large waste bucket and an ingot cutter.
Obvious exits: north.

A chamber with stone walls and a lofty, vaulted ceiling links the rooms of the forge. Its high arches help to subdue the clangor, letting it rise and echo in the space overhead. You also see Forging Society Mistress Yalda, an eastern arch, a western arch, a central arch, a large sign and some broad stone doors.
Obvious exits: north, south.

A large sign reads:
"Welcome to our store! Materials, ingredients and packets for deeding items used
in the forging process are sold here. Not all mining locations are civilized
enough to offer immediate deeding of resources. To accommodate the fearless miner,
deed packets are available for purchase here. Crafters may also use these to deed
finished goods. Please STUDY them for instructions, and ORDER them at any time!"

Smithy (eastern arch)

[Crossing Forging Society, Smithy]
This eastern chamber of the smithy is equipped like the others, with a forge and anvil for heating and tempering the castings from the foundry. From time to time, the din of hammers pounding on the heated blanks rings out from the anvils in the other rooms.
You also see a grindstone, an arch, a pile of fuel and a large waste bucket.
Obvious exits: none.

Smithy (central arch)

[Crossing Forging Society, Smithy]
These small rooms at the back of Yalda's establishment are the shrines of the smiths, housing the furnaces where the glowing metal is heated, tempered, and beaten into shape. Just a step away from the forge is an iron anvil, bolted to a charred but solid wooden support.
You also see a grindstone, an arch, a large waste bucket and a pile of fuel.
Obvious exits: none.

Smithy (western arch)

[Crossing Forging Society, Smithy]
An iron anvil is mounted on a thick oaken stump in the center of the chamber. Against the wall behind it is the forge, stoked by Yalda's apprentices, where the sword- or shield-to-be is brought to a red-hot glow before being hammered into shape.
You also see a grindstone, an arch, a pile of fuel and a large waste bucket.
Obvious exits: none.

Bulk Materials

[Crossing Forging Society, Bulk materials]
A chamber with stone walls and a lofty, vaulted ceiling links the rooms of the forge. Its high arches help to subdue the clangor, letting sounds rise and echo in the space overhead. The flickering of flames and sounds of metal clanging against metal are more muted here, and the pace is less frantic. Well-dressed tradesmen come and go as they place orders for large quantities of goods and supplies.
You also see a large sign.
Obvious exits: north.

A large sign reads:
"Welcome! Wares here are for the seasoned smith in need of large quantities of ingots and materials. Immense quantities are 50 volume, gigantic are 100 volumes, and colossal are 200 volumes by the recognized Traders' scale. These items are HEAVY!
