DragonRealms 3.0 is a series of major updates to core game mechanics, including skills, combat, magic, and guild reqs, as outlined below.
Expected Release
As of November 15, 2012, DragonRealms 3.0 is about 12 days from being released in Test for everyone.
Heh, a few days ago I posted that our current plan is to have Test opened to everyone in about a week and half. Assuming that goes well, 3.0 should find its way to Prime this year. Bugs, balancing issues or real life (it IS Holiday time...), may cause it to slip. But things are looking rather solid as of now. --GM Kodius (11/18/2012)
Status
- Skills 3.0 - Socharis has indicated that testing is pretty much complete.
- Combat 3.0 - Testing is mostly complete and only pending final tweaks to damage & exp awarded which will be one of the final steps before release. There may be a few bugs left to squish but overall most has been completed.
- Magic 3.0 - April's beginning of the month report indicated they were at 70% completion with spell conversions and getting close to begin testing. (subject to change as they should be providing another update soon)
