Tuesday Tidings 64 release.
Description
The ghoul is a loathesome thing. Though perhaps a similar height to a short Human if it stood upon straight legs, it is bent and hunched from its eternal grubbing in graves, charnel pits, and other unsavory places for its sustenance. Dark grey skin covered with mold and rot covers a bony but powerful frame. Deep-set eyes constantly search for prey, while a wide nose snuffles every breeze for the taint of rot it craves. Faster and more cunning than its simpler kin, the ghoul is not content with waiting for prey, but will go out and search for it, straying far from home, wherever or whenever that may once have been.
In Depth
Special Attacks
- They can infest you with a random blood worm / leech. TEND directly, remove, or seek empathic help.
- They aren't your average creaking, shambling undead. These guys are pretty agile and animated. They have the Barbarian warstomp ability.
- They can afflict you with a slow effect. This is something we haven't experiment with in DR before, but while afflicted, any roundtime you get will be bumped up by an additional 2 seconds (it has its own messaging to indicate when an adjustment happens).
Notes
- Soldier's Prayer and Protection from Evil both help you avoid the specials. PFE has priority, they don't stack. It's a binary check on the spells...if you have it, it considers reduced ranks for the creature when determining whether the specials hit or not.
