Every character in DragonRealms has 8 stats or attributes which factor into almost everything that character does from combat to crafting:

  • Strength - brute physical power.
  • Reflex - ability to react quickly.
  • Agility - skill at controlling one's body.
  • Charisma - personality and strength of character.
  • Discipline - mind over body and dedication.
  • Wisdom - intuition and application of knowledge.
  • Intelligence - mental capacity.
  • Stamina - endurance and overall health.

After character generation the only way to increase stats is by spending TDPs. A character is given 600 TDPs to start. From then on TDPs are gained either by gaining circles or gaining skills.

Increasing Stats

The TDP cost to increase an attribute is determined using the following formula:

The racial TDP bonuses are listed in the following chart:

Dwarf Elf Elothean Gor'Tog Gnome Halfling Human Kaldar Prydaen Rakash S'Kra Mur
Strength +1 +1 -3 +3 +2 -1 -1
Reflex +1 -1 -1 +1 -2 -1 -2 -1 -1
Agility +1 -1 -1 -2 +1
Charisma -1 -1 -1
Discipline -1 +1 +1 +1 -1
Wisdom -1 +2 +1 +1 +2 +1 +1
Intelligence -1 +2 -2 +1 +2 +1
Stamina -1 +1 +2 -2 +2 -1 -2

A positive number means an increase in the cost to raise a stat and a negative number means a decrease.

So for example: the cost to raise strength from 20 to 21 for a Gor'Tog character is: (20 x 3) + (-3 x 20 / 2) = 30.
