The INVOKE command is used to trigger some magical devices.
Note that with the release of DR 3.0, INVOKE takes over many of the functions that were previously used by FOCUS, most notably with cambrinth items.
The shortest spelling of this command is INVO, INV goes to the INVENTORY command.
Syntax
INVOKE: returns a weapon bonded with a bonding potion.
INVOKE <scroll>: temporarily memorizes a spell from a scroll.
INVOKE <cambrinth item>: establishes a link to cambrinth, readying its stored mana for use.
INVOKE <cambrinth item> ##: makes a given number of mana streams available to be used, leaving the rest. Arcana skill check required.
INVOKE <cambrinth item> CYCLIC: Toggles cambrinth to only dispense mana to power cyclic spells. Available with the dedicated cambrinth use feat.
INVOKE <cambrinth item> SPELL: Toggles cambrinth to only dispense mana to power spells. Available with the dedicated cambrinth use feat.
INVOKE <runestone>: starts prepping a spell in a runestone.
INVOKE <proper ritual focus> while PREPARING a ritual spell: somewhat alleviates the mana cost.
