Redemption quest walkthrough

Requirements

• You must bring along a ritual knife.
• If you are an Unsullied necromancer you must be at least 10th circle.
• If you are a Forsaken necromancer you must have been Forsaken at least six real-life months.
• If previously Redeemed you must wait six real-life months since your fall.

The Old Man

Find the Old Man.

1. Head out towards Zaldi Taipa (Horse Clan). In the Gilen Otso Steppes, you will reach an intersection. Head northwest into Tanis Belta Gaizen. Find the "subtle trail" to enter the "Sheltered Valley". (lich room 6373)
2. Head to the northeastern corner of the Small Clearing.
3. Move southwest. The room names will change slightly, from "Small Clearing" to "Strange Clearing". You have shifted onto another map level, nearly identical to the first one. (Heading northeast from this spot will return you back to the normal area.)
4. Head north or east (any direction except northeast), and then back to the northeast corner. You will now see a farmhouse. Enter it, then head east to the Old Man.
5. ASK OLD MAN ABOUT REDEMPTION
   He will give you a carrot, and direct you to the old Aesry Necropolis.

The Necropolis

1. Travel to Aesry Surlaenis'a. The quickest route, barring assistance from a Moon Mage, is the dirigible in Shard that travels between the two cities.
   Bring the carrot AND a knife that you can PERFORM rituals with.
2. Once you reach Aesry, travel to the Necropolis. You will encounter several gates. If closed, just CLIMB over them. Find the Church in the northeastern section.
3. Inside the church, while holding the carrot, TOUCH the triumvirate statue to being the trials.
4. Walk east to the Terminal of Darkness.
   • LIE SLAB

   Do not do anything until you are told you are done.

5. Head back to the center room, then travel north to the Terminal of Balance.
   • PRAY ALTAR

   Do not do anything until it the messaging talks about your ritual knife and a choice.

   • PUT KNIFE ON ALTAR

   Do not do anything until you are told you are done.

6. Head back to the center room, then travel west to the Terminal of Light.
   • SIT FIREPIT

   Do not do anything until you are Redeemed. You will "die" here.

7. Find the ghost of Emuin, who wanders in the church (and is only visible to the Redeemed). He will teach you Anabasis spells.

If you fail the trials you may reinitiate the process by TOUCHing the statue again, after a short cooldown (a few minutes).
