From Discord- OOC- General Comments
Hoshii: "I can get it for you tonight if no one does first, Baylix." Alma: "Nilme is the bestest! Great song writer and always amazing to help!"
The Cythra: Bards call @Nilme Iondu'il "Guild Mom" for a reason. She is always there making things happen or making them better and nae once evahs asking for anything in return. Quite the opposite as she is so humble and unassuming in her ways. For all we see of her on stage, she also strives greatly behind the scenes. She tries to meet and help in whatever way she can all new Bards with the simple philosophy of "pay it forward". Through these acts not only does she further her RP but the RP of all those around her. We love our Guild Mom! |

For Nilme, by Couri Fearfly
Couri exclaims, "Fer Nilme!" (Couri looks around and with a smile and quick shrug, she begins, her voice slightly shaky,) Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "I met you just a little while
Or maybe ages gone
Some friendships bloom in borrowed time
And swear they've always drawn."
</block quote> (Couri stands a bit straighter and her voice becomes steadier and louder.) Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "You keep the hearth, you know the songs
You steady trembling hands
You mend the cracks in voices new
And help them learn to stand."
</block quote> Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "So raise your voice and take my hand
We re never singing lone
New-met friends with old-time hearts
your Guild has led us home."
</block quote> Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "Oh Guild Mom with your knowing eyes
You watch them rise and roam
The Bard Guild hums more sweetly yet
Because you call it home."
</block quote> Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "You learned beside the man I love
Kept faith through years and song
A steadfast thread through changing day
That's quietly grown strong."
</block quote> Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "So raise your voice and take my hand
We're never singing lone
New-met friends with old-time hearts
Your Guild has led us home."
</block quote> Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "So stand with me when vows are sworn
And bells and laughter ring
For friendship new that feels so old
Is the truest gift we bring."
</block quote> Couri sings in a mezzo-soprano voice: <block quote> "By thread first spun when stars were young
By fires that never fade
We walk one song through many lives
One promise, never frayed."

Ode to Nilme, by Tirost Armagna
Sung at Theren Guard Song Event, 440 AV
You see Knight of Meraud Tirost Armagna, Telo'Getha of Zoluren, a Human Warrior Mage.
He has an oval face, silver-flecked crystal blue eyes and a straight nose. His dark brown hair is short and wavy, and is worn loose. He has tanned skin and an athletic build. He is a bit over average height for a Human. He appears to be young. He has a tattoo of a wolf's head shrouded by an aura of flame over twin crossed swords on his chest.
He is wearing a fur-trimmed black mantle fastened with a silversteel brooch, some nightmare black leathers, a black steel mourning band inlaid with ivory lilies, a dark leather sheath inlaid with silversteel and some black leather boots.
Tirost says, "This poem is an ode to a bard who commands the hearts of all poets."
(Tirost closes his eyes and begins to pluck the strings of a golden lyre, producing a wondrous melody.)
(Tirost opens his eyes and a small flame flickers into existence near his forehead, as his fingers dance over the strings of a golden lyre.)
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"Where walks the elven poet,
The songstress of the woods,
There comes the graceful songbirds
To warble all they could,"
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"And accompany the potent song
With the softly rushing stream,
And every lusty animal
That to its mate might sing!"
(Tirost's voice is rich and clear as a golden lyre fills the area with its melody.)
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"They're called by th' poet's music!
'Tis enchanting to the soul!
Even when its tales are sad
There's beauty in its notes!"
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"Such is the gift of Nilme,
That when she raises up her voice
All of nature sings with her,
And Faenella beams with joy!"
(Tirost's fingers continue to glide over the strings of a golden lyre, as the flame undulates near his brow.)
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"So too the passing hunter
Who wanders 'long the trail
By her voice is reminded
Of one who from this life has sailed,"
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"And when to a humble cottage
The hunter bends his steps,
Nilme's song goes with him
And his emotions find new depths."
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"Within a rough and calloused hand
His daughter's places he,
And tells her that he loves her,
And with her he'll always be."
(Tirost fingers move with grace over the strings of a golden lyre.)
Tirost chants in a baritone voice:
"Such is the force of music
That from brilliant Nilme pours
As birds with sacred laurels crown
The bard of Nature's court!
(Tirost ceases his chant, and the flame near his forehead vanishes. His fingers slow and then stop, and the melody fades away.)

Our Nilme, by AllyeSung at Nilme's Surprise Birthday Party, held by the Tavern Troupe, 439 AV (October 4, 2021)
(Allye plucks a series of quiet notes on her cedar lap harp, nodding to herself when she finds it's tuned to her liking. She places her flat palms over the strings to dampen their vibration.)
Allye smiles a soft smile, her gaze lowered to the strings of her instrument. A delicate glissando bridges from one iteration of the repeating refrain to the next as the plinking tune continues.
(Allye fingers move across the strings, each meticulous placement resulting in a sweet plucked note. Her voice grows quiet as she proceeds to the next verse.)
Allye smiles with fond affection. The melody slows for a moment, only to almost immediately pick back up and drive forward once more.
(Allye bows her head as the final notes linger upon the vibrating strings of her instrument. She allows the sound to simply fade, only leaning forward a moment later when all that remains is silence.) |
A Song for Nilme, by her Mother, Bardess Achrennight FilantiSung at Achrennight's Concert as part of the Arthe Dale Concert Series, 375 AV (March 27, 2004)
Achrennight says, "Well, while I figure out which fun song to sing, I might as well sing a song written about my daughter Nilme. I really should get around to titling this song.. but here it is. A song for Nilme" Achrennight quietly sings in a mezzo-soprano voice:

Shaelisa hurriedly exclaims, "My new friend Nilme said that she is sometimes in Shard so I read a book and learned there is a super big tower and wanted to build one with my blocks! I hope when I visit I don't break the real thing!" Shaelisa shyly exclaims, "But thank you for listening to my adventures and things I want to do! I hope you liked it!"
