The desert is a harsh land with shifting sands, and is reputedly the living area of the [[Outcast Tribe|Outcast Tribes]], who shift like the sands they call home.


The desert itself is so hostile that visitors must travel via the [[Sand Barge]] which journeys between [[Hvaral]] and [[Muspar’i]]. [[Sand Spider|Sand spiders]], [[Mottled Westanuryn|Mottled Westanuryns]], [[Velakan Slaver|Slavers]], and [[Zombie Nomad|Zombie Nomads]] all pose threats in the region. However, only the sand spiders are known to routinely threaten travelers along the Trade Route.
Traveling by Sand Barge is the only way beside a moongate to get to the city of [[Muspar'i]]. At this time there is a low player base in the city and at last count there were only thirteen (13) official citizens of Velaka.


Within the desert are seven areas known as Rock Circles which tend to be gathering places for the slavers. Within one of the circles can be found the mysterious Walk of Bones where the undead are drawn.
Along the Trade Route there lies only one (1) creature. The [[Sand Spider]]s offer a chance for those with lower skills to do some hunting around the city of [[Muspar'i]], they are one of the only two skinnable creatures in the area. The other being [[Mottled Westanuryn|Mottled Westanuryns]].

At the location of one of the rock circles there is a plateau that will take you to the Walk of Bones where the [[Zombie Nomad]] is to be found.
