Posts and Scripts
Hmm, I am envisioning placing posts in their own namespace so we don't have to duplicate them across many pages, and actually using semantic-media-wiki to auto-generate a list of posts (with a "more..." link).
Also, I think we can do a better job of segregating scripts. So if we get a Posts: and a Scripts: namespace we can sort this all out a bit better I think. :-) If you agree I'd like to pester Naeya about adding those two new namespaces. (I have a better idea along the Posts side than Scripts side though). --Callek 22:57, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Ahh I knew there were two namespaces I wanted to use, and Scripts was one thing I've been thinking about, but wasn't actually the namespace I was hoping to ask you about. The other being "Logs". For <cleaned-up> logs of events, meetings, etc. not meant to be the main-wiki articles, but useful for anyone who cares to see the finer details. (Can be copied logs from posts, or players actually posting the logs themselves). Most logs should/could be made eventually into 3'rd party style. --Callek 22:59, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- I see no reason why not. Go ahead and bug her....assuming it doesn't break things like last time. Ew. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 23:10, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Spell Template
Can you please recheck your work on the spell template? It seems that the categories aren't directing properly since they are using lowercase names when they should be uppercase (i.e. Category:Versus agility Spells instead of Category:Versus Agility Spells. Thanks. --Thilan 16:25, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Fixed. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 17:23, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- It looks like the spells aren't being assigned to their respective categories. Soul Sickness, for example, correctly categorizes as a Versus Spirit spell on the bottom of the page, but it isn't being added to Category:Versus Spirit Spells. --Thilan 17:39, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- Hmmm... it looks like the wiki is being odd again. It doesn't recategorize them till they're edited and saved again (even if there's no change to the edit). -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 17:43, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Factbox not showing up for Shadow Web
Ghodbane asked me to fix some of the stuff he thought he broke. I don't know what's wrong, really; I didn't do anything that I imagine fixed Tenebrous Sense, and now I broke Shadow Web, so I'm just confused. Pls take a look. =/ Sorry for the mess. --Diarik 07:24, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see anything wrong with either page. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 10:18, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oy. Neither do I. I am confused. =) Ah well. Devan 16:54, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- Sometimes the factboxes don't show up after being moved or otherwise manipulated. Try hitting the refresh page tab (aka purge) since the cache may need wiping. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 17:19, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- I did that. Next time, I might try nuking the cache directly, rather than relying on Ctrl+F5. In any case, thanks. -Devan 17:10, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- He didn't really mean your browser cache, but I can easily see how you were confused there. --Callek 21:01, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- I should note that the "refresh" tab is only admin visible (as far as I recall). --Callek 21:01, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- Whoops. Never noticed that. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 23:14, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Template:Shield
Having a problem with Template:Shield. There's a couple protection values that you don't have listed as possible values, for instance "very poor" and "rather low". I didn't want to edit the template because you had previously hard-coded values as 0=none, 1=poor, 2=low, etc. and I was afraid adding the new ones would break it. Azhag 00:30, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- Are these values the more specific ones that Paladin's get? Give me a list of what's missing and where each falls in the existing list. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 17:03, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Server Access
A little bird told me you were upset that you don't have server access. Email me and we can discuss this.--Naeya (talk) 02:00, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Server
Hey, do you currently have access to the server? I have a few ideas for additions that would (probably) need to be added as static pages due to limitations in Wiki. Mostly for search related stuffs with semantic MW. (alternative is to host these search pages off of elanthipedia) --Callek 20:10, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not yet. However, if you want to give me an idea of what you want, maybe I could suggest a way to do it while you wait. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 20:29, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- Basically a form (or two, or more) to activate the Semantic Search with various parameters. I was thinking of doing it via actual forms, JS, etc. We can't even link to the Semantic form (easily?) with a '+' character, so this makes it much much harder to do so via wiki, and of course I can't include any JS in wiki. Idea's of "Jugglies", "Medium Shields in Zoluren, metal" etc. "not fest." Ideas to utilize Semantic Mediawiki, but still providing a User Friendly way to search useful formats of it. --Callek 22:10, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- To a certain exent, it could be done via form. Have it edit a specific page, remove the save option (preview would be sufficient). I was thinking of doing it....but I forget why I stopped. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 22:15, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- In my opinion doing it as an edit might be confusing for many, and harder to achieve (I don't think the "Semantic Forms" can achieve the ease-of-use I was hoping) But I can look into that and see what I can come up with, and failing everything else, I can create a page for hosting here (or on an external website) --Callek 22:59, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
Incomplete?
What exactly makes a page incomplete and what sort of information needs to be added for it to be complete? This question is mainly in reguard to NPC pages. - Inauri at 0815 EST on 25FEB09
- I think i can answer this one, any missing data, location, description, gender, race, ect. --Legeres 16:11, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, basically you can tell by going down to the semantic factbox at the end and looking for the tag "missing". That should tell you what's missing, OR if it just says something like "Infobox information missing" it means that it hasn't processed things correctly, and you need to edit and save without changing anything.
- Basically, we set up the template to check and see if the missing tag is present and if it is, display the incomplete tag. However, it doesn't check the page itself, it checks the server database of everything that has a missing tag. But it only seems to check when you SAVE the page, so if the database hasn't been updated to show no missing tags by the time you save it (like sometimes right after you complete a form), it will still think the page is incomplete.
- I hope that makes sense. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 17:08, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
FoundInProvince
Hey, can you try and muck with Template:FoundInProvince I can't seem to get it to work right, I have a few ideas on getting this all working nice. (I'm at work so have to take a break from that)--Callek 18:40, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- I can't even figure out what you were trying to do. -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 06:14, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- Create a template where I can pass in a page name, where it then extracts all "Found in" properties from the page, and only displays them if said page is in Category:Provinces --Callek 13:46, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, check back and look what I did. I had to use 3 templates to do it, so it's not pretty, but is that what you wanted? -Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 22:41, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- Basically yes, but I was hoping to use this for things like "Cities" etc. as well (which I suppose we can do this all manually for list, as it doesn't change too often). But what does concern me is the added "," at the end of that list, which is why I was trying to limit the actual list of places. And actually it fails... see the page now --Callek 00:26, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
- Err yes it "works right" but doesn't have any semblance of actually removing blank entries! --Callek 00:28, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
- Tada!-Moderator Caraamon Strugr-Makdasi(talk) 00:39, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
