Former privateer who left the job because of his sister, Valdivia. Empath. Originally from Tasigath.

After he ran away from privateering, he was chased by Jimma, who was sent by Saureen. Caibre had been working for Saureen before running away. After running away, considered signing on with Aedem to get away from Jimma.

Later, he became captain of the Selkie's Secret, for Zoluren. Tarrebuck is one of his sailors.

Vorclaf makes Caibre captain of the Selkie's Secret

Vorclaf says, "The second, Captain Caibre Ev'otia, commands the Selkie's Secret. While he is currently in search of the Dawnsinger and the dastardly pirate Jourok, his primary duties will be to monitor and patrol the borders from Therengia to Arthe Bay and will back up the Leaping Dolphin in case of major assaults."

He is wearing a sunbleached linen shirt, a leather sword belt embossed with sinuous sea serpents, some faded canvas trousers, a pair of brown leather boots with a wide cuff just below the knee, a gold anchor charm suspended from a dark silk cord, a salt-stained leather bandwa, a jadeite gwethdesuan, a heavy zaulguum skin cloak and a wide-brimmed leather hat.
