Front Desk

[Lanternside Inn, Front Desk]
A long desk enhanced with pieces of shell and driftwood rests in front of a series of shelves lined along the back wall. Timidly, envelopes and scrolls poke out from their current homes upon the shelves, awaiting delivery to some employee or resting traveler. A small bell dangles above the desk, patient for a tap from the next person to check into the inn, while a hutch fastened with a bronze padlock waits calmly to dole out room keys.
Obvious exits: northwest, out.

Lobby

[Lanternside Inn, Lobby]
Two twin windows, shuttered on the outside, stare inwards towards a brightly upholstered couch and a small wooden end-table. Across from the end-table, the wall is set with a brass sign made in the shape of a dancing herb leaf. The mutterings of conversation and clinking of dinnerware spill out from the sign's neighbor, an artistically carved arch.
Obvious exits: southeast, south.

Host's Station

[Lanternside Inn, Host's Station]
A brilliantly colored wooden partition angles from the host's stand towards the opposite wall, blocking the majority of the restaurant beyond from view, and the host's station from the view of seated patrons. Likewise, any diners glancing towards the exit are spared the sight of the host turning away unsavory types, and are only met by the gazes of the myriad of colored masks affixed to the decorative screen.
You also see an artistically carved arch and a Host.
Obvious exits: none.

All three booths & the outdoor dining area have the same menu. To get into the dining room, ask the host about a booth. The host will not seat S'Kra Mur, but non-S'Kra can lead S'Kra into the dining area.

Dining Room (NW room)

[The Herb Play Restaurant, Dining Room]
Gaethzen spheres hang behind green shades, lending a soft glow that still reflects in the highly buffed and polished hardwood floors. The only tables are those small enough to be carried by waiters, and remain in place only long enough for food to be transferred to an awaiting booth. Screens of wood and paper create private dining areas for those artists too smug to allow others a watchful eye of their affairs.
You also see a cushioned booth, a waiter and a padded booth.
Obvious exits: north, southeast.

The Actor's Booth (cushioned booth)

[The Actor's Booth, Herb Play Restaurant]
Several miniature portraits line the walls and screens around the booth. Representing theater performers of some by-gone era, it's likely that most of the faces portrayed have found a stage on the Starry Path by now. In contrast to the faded color of the portraits, bright purples and yellows streak the walls, and even the seat of the booth itself has been dyed in vivid shades.
You also see a purple menu.
Obvious exits: out.

The Singer's Booth (padded booth)

[The Singer's Booth, Herb Play Restaurant]
A horseshoe shaped seat curves around the dining table, obviously packed full of fluffy down given the odd feather that pokes out. Along the sides of the seat, musical instruments of all types have been carved into the wood and rubbed with oil to a high sheen. Someone has painted a cryptic signature with gold-colored paint on a small black shield etched with concentric circles that hangs overlooking the tabletop.
You also see a golden menu and a rosewood violin mounted on a plaque.
Obvious exits: out.

Dining Room (SE room)

[The Herb Play Restaurant, Dining Room]
A set of etched-glass doors allows outside light to flow gently over the booths and diners. During the day, the gaethzen orbs swaying from the ceiling remain dark, their presence unneeded yet still decorative. Pale smoke drifts lazily from the kitchen, floating between the timber rafters and wafting against the ceiling planks.
You also see a blue leather booth.
Obvious exits: northwest.

The Dreamer's Booth (leather booth)

[The Dreamer's Booth, Herb Play Restaurant]
A bold deobar carving of Hodierna perches over the booth, arms outstretched and a sly smile spread across her face. White alfar statuettes descend from her embrace, pierced by metal rods that hold them in place in the vignette. To enhance the drama, the depiction of a clear night sky slowly dissolving into a sunrise has been painted in grand colors. A few wavy letters mark the signature of the artist right near the side of the table.
You also see a white menu. Obvious exits: out.

Outdoor Dining

[The Herb Play Restaurant, Outdoor Dining]
A giant blue and red mask of a half-smiling, half-frowning face leers down on diners, with the words "Eat and Drink, Dance and Sing" painted in glaring colors along its surface. Only slightly less decorative than the tables seen through the etched-glass doors leading within the restaurant, the ones under the mask have been worn by the elements over time. The deck itself juts out over the canal from the backside of the Lanternside Inn, supported on huge timbers driven deep into the waters.
You also see a weathered menu and some etched-glass doors.
Obvious paths: south.

Canal Overlook

[The Herb Play Restaurant, Canal Overlook]
Below the wooden planks weathered grey from time, the sloshing of canal water flows past, adding a constant background song of liquid noises to the clacking and clinking of silverware on plates. Unlit braziers and torches line the solid railing that borders the deck, stout guardians now sleeping during the day. Alternating between the unused light sources, dull carvings of dancers and performers lean casually against the rail.
Obvious paths: north.

Hallway

[Lanternside Inn, Hallway]
The smooth painted walls leading to the lobby stop at the chair rail, giving way to a textured surface of plaster. Small bits of shell and coral stuck in the plaster turn the upper walls into a mosaic of pink and beige spirals ascending a set of carpeted stairs. Other than a couple of brass candelabras to light the hall, there are no adornments to distract any of the inn's tired customers from a direct course upwards and to a comfortable bedroom.
Obvious exits: north.

Upper Floor (south room)

[Lanternside Inn, Upper Floor]
An out-of-place tapestry barely covers several gaps where time and vandalistic wayfarers have removed bits of attractive coral from their resting places set in the walls. A richly colored carpet runs through the hallway and down the stairs to the lobby below.
You also see a blue-painted door.
Obvious exits: north.

Canal Room (blue-painted door)

[Lanternside Inn, Canal Room]
Curtains, the color of a blue and green streaked river, almost hide a picture window with a view of the outdoor dining area of the Herb Play. A driftwood bedstand sits quietly by the bed, pushed snugly against the chair rail that splits the walls. The lower half of the walls are painted in pastel shades of green, while the upper is a soft creme not unlike the color of a frothy stream churning up sand. Only a small rug covers any of the hardwood floor, nestled at the foot of the bed.
You also see a blue-painted door.
Obvious exits: none.

Upper Floor (middle room)

[Lanternside Inn, Upper Floor]
Small bits of coral and seashell peek out from the plaster of the walls, mixed in during the construction of the inn. Lightweight tapestries have been arranged intermittently down the hall, showing various scenes of a musical performance. A narrow vase rests in its own bed, a small linen-covered table pushed tightly against the wall and out of the way of yawning wanderers stumbling towards their rooms.
You also see a red-painted door.
Obvious exits: southeast, south.

Volcano Room (red-painted door)

[Lanternside Inn, Volcano Room]
A plush red carpet covers the entire floor, thick and wooly but for one triangular shaped spot near the red-painted door worn thin from the door's use. A matching set of fiery curtains hangs about the window, brushing just against the obsidian-topped bedstand. A bright orange bedspread lays on the bed, continuing the theme of fiery color. Even the tropical plant in the corner shares the theme, if in design rather than color, as it rests in a stone pot filled with ashy dirt.
Obvious exits: none.

Upper Floor (south-east room)

[Lanternside Inn, Upper Floor]
A portrait framed in dark wood and lit by a small piece of gaethzen hangs on the rough plaster wall. The shells and coral that poke from the plaster along the other sections of the inn are not absent here, and form intricate spiral patterns around the edges of the portrait. A small brass plaque is embedded below.
You also see a green-painted door.
Obvious exits: northwest.

Island Room (red-painted door)

[Lanternside Inn, Island Room]
A large bed carved realistically in the shape of a giant seashell dominates the center of the room. Its wood has been painted in shades of pearlescent pink and white, and a pale blue bedspread drapes over the edge of the bed. A deep blue curtain hangs around the window, and a nightstand decorated with bits of coral squeezes itself between it and the bed.
You also see a green-painted door.
Obvious exits: none.
