Description

You see Songbird Mendira Huns, Dancer of Zaldi Taipa, an Elf.
Mendira has a high cheekboned kite-shaped face with delicate features, pointed ears and large expressive faded lilac eyes. Her dark brown hair is hip length and silky, and is worn in an intricate braid threaded with a pale pink rosecloth ribbon and allowed to fall over one shoulder. She has warm caramel-hued skin with a sun-kissed radiance and a gracefully slender figure.
She is statuesque for an Elf.
She appears to be young.
A herd of itty bitty bronze bovines cavorting around an aurora tourmaline sun float lazily around her right arm, glowing with a lustrous sheen against her skin.
She has several interlocking rings of green jade that pierce the flesh to follow along your right eyebrow, each notched in even intervals and rubbed with indigo.
Her shoulder has a tattoo of a brightly colored songbird darting through a cascade of musical notes.
She is in good shape.

She is wearing a filigreed sungold carcanet flaunting a faceted dawnbreak diamond, a snug pink rosecloth bandeau wrapped around the chest, a smooth wedding ring crafted from sungold, a perfectly pink petalette tutu strewn with rosecloth blossoms and a pair of blush petalette dancing slippers laced with twining ribbons.

Notes

• Grew up in Leth and then Crossing, and more recently spent time in Zaldi Taipa, which she at last considers her home despite an at times tenuous relationship with her heritage. Currently lives nearby, in the apple orchards north of Shard.
  
• Is in the process of overcoming a wildly severe case of shyness. Has gotten much better about not blushing every time someone looks at her, and this is amazing progress that makes her 150% more tolerable to be around, probably.
  
• Is married to Dawnsworn Briaen Huns, Knight Penitent of Berengaria and Wearer of the Best Titles.
  
• Her name is short for "Geshemendira," or "frozen treasure."
  
• As is common among Wind Elves, she has had many names over the years. Her heart name is now known by only one living soul, perhaps two.
  
• Loves flowers and prefers to see them happy and alive and growing in place, rather than picking them.
  
• Wishes to befriend every animal in the realms that isn't actively trying to murder her. Her pets include: an orange and white kitten (Punkin), a brown and black calico cat (Liani), a tubby honey badger (Wimsahle), a fuzzy brown sea otter (Puretu), a tiny warty piglet (Taurili), a pudgy river rat (Lilu), and a portly jaguar-spotted kitten with onyx rosettes and oversized beige paws (Gordo).
  
• Once ran off-stage and into the night during a dramatic bout of stage fright at Shard's illustrious Shoan a Sidelkuloa.
  
• Is extremely insecure about her singing ability, but is attempting to hone her skills after receiving some excellent advice from a mentor on the intertwined nature of talent and hard work.
  
• Always carries a caddy full of Madikh's sassafras tea from the Lamb's Shank, in case of emergency.

Soft blossoms of airy, pale purple fabric are scattered across the joining points of the delicate hair ornament, their petals trembling and floating with every movement.

Carved to provide a secure grip, a ring of pure white alerce joins them at the base of the piece. Articulation of the wooden handle allows the fan to open and close smoothly, every movement setting the streaming translucent fabric affixed to the tip of each blade aflutter.

Silver cording trims the neckline and serves to lace up the back. Tiny beads and baubles stitched in intricate patterns atop the airy whisperlayne gleam in the light, shimmering with an array of sunrise hues.

Silver cording adorns the upper edge of the garment to form a secure waistband that anchors the lavish lengths of fabric that billow downwards when worn. Clusters of aureate beads are strewn in ornate patterns across the gauzy top layer, each joined to the next by finely wrought tendrils of warm metal awash in all the hues of a rising sun.

Each of the hollow sculpted flowers encases a single, tiny bead of silver, and the argent drops jingle and rattle within their brilliant cages when jostled.

They criss-cross smartly over the throat of the shoes, the remaining lengths of silken fabric designed to wind about the ankles when worn.

Peacock Dance Costume

You see Dancer Mendira Huns of Zaldi Taipa, an Elf.
The glittery mask is covered in short greenish-blue feathers to create the regal head of a peacock and completely enshrouds her features.  A fan-like crest crowns the top of Mendira's head, while long plumes of iridescent blue and green cascade down her shoulders to display their colorful eyespots sprinkled with peacock jaspers.  The vibrant teal gems contrast sharply with the pure white beak of alerce covering the lower half of her face.
She is in good shape.

She is wearing a dramatic spun glitter cloak trailing a multitude of iridescent peacock plumes, an iridescent blue spun glitter bodice flamboyantly feathered with peacock plumes, a breathtaking classically-styled tutu composed of iridescent peacock feathers and a pair of soft gold velvet dancing slippers with silken ankle-laces.

Emerald firesilk lines the interior, and its shimmering hue and shifting shades of red complement a pair of delicate gold hooks designed to secure the cloak at the throat.

Radiant and proud, myriad pointed spires slope elegantly upwards from the brow, radiating outwards in the semblance of bright beams of sunlight.

Draped elegantly downwards, sungold chains crisscross the gown's plunging open back. Tiny multi-hued sungold flames are stitched along the neckline and hem of the gown, giving the illusion of a fire burning across the material when light hits the delicate fabric just right. The skirt is designed to fall gracefully to the floor when worn, forming fragile pools of radiant silk upon the ground.
11/07/2022	Created by Megaya at HE 443	a pair of smoke ruby icesilk slippers aloft upon slender heels of sungold Imbued with smoke rubies to produce a shade of red so dark it seems almost black, the luxurious fabric is illuminated by icy silver thread. Quite daring in design, each slipper perches atop a precariously high and narrow heel. The warmly hued metal contrasts the icesilk, reminiscent of dawning sunlight kissing the frosty dew of a dark, wintry morning.

Medallions dangle from the fine links overlapping the folds of the flowing skirt, each carved with a stylized sun.

A characteristic lacy pattern of striations blankets the exceptionally smooth leather, the lustrous carmine-tinted hide contrasted by downy ivory cashmere that lines the interior.

Cottony and extremely soft, the lace has raised cording throughout its pattern that follows underneath the wildflower design. A very fine mesh shows delicately in the otherwise empty spaces, while its scalloped edges feature a distinct floral medallion motif and are daintily fringed for an eyelash effect. Tiny Elven gold discs weight the corners, jingling with any movement.

A faceted gem set into the central disc holds a honeyed color at its core that evokes the soft auroral shades of the morning sun. The hue warms to a rosy pink as it spreads outward from the heart of the jewel, transitioning into tendrils of rich azure blue and violet tones at the edges. An engraved inscription graces the inner curve of the necklace. READ: When my world was dark, you lit the way home.
11/22/2025	Crafted by Kouzan	an alabaster alerce koto swept by a sungold-limned lotus jade songbird Remarkably dense wood composes the intricate instrument, glimmering in soft shades of white, and the frame is traced by the elegant, parallel lines of myriad taut strings. Across the front panel, an expansive inlay of amaranthine lotus jade shards takes the shape of a vibrant songbird, its wings captured mid-flutter and its beak open in an eternal lilt. Ilithi: Huns House	[Almalne Alolan, Among the Blooms] The farmland here has been allowed to become a field of wildflowers. Blue forget-me-nots, brilliant orange poppies, white larkspurs, and miniature sunflowers blend together in a riot of hues amidst the backdrop of dark green grasses. Flitting from flower to flower, rotund bumblebees create a humming buzz. Placed at the edge of the myriad of blooms is a finely wrought iron gate. You also see a weathered sign and an expansive purpleheart retreat with a copper-roofed cupola atop the ridgepole. Obvious paths: none. Explore the interior!
Zoluren: Sunflower Retreat	[The Strand, Tree-lined Path] The thickly wooded area surrounding the footpath does an admirable job of ensconcing the area in deep black shadows. Fastened securely to the many trees along the border, glowing gaethzen globes add a touch of manmade art to the natural environment. Noisy crickets chirp their rhythmic tones every now and then to break the night's silence. You also see an ivy-covered fieldstone retreat standing amidst a riotous multitude of sunflowers, an unremarkable cabin, a lavish alder-gabled residence and a capacious willow tree with a squirrel's nest inside a branch's knothole.
