The walls, floor and ceiling of this cramped space resemble driftwood, lacking the clean lines typically found on cut timber. Seeping through gaps between the unevenly spaced planks, the sand of Velaka has worked its way inside, as if asserting that no structure is as timeless as the dunes. Spread out along the floor are several small cages wrapped in wire mesh, containing the beasts for sale in the establishment.
