ASK <guildleader> FOR <breathing|stretching|assessment>

Syntax

Syntax: PRACTICE <sing|stretch|area|parched|voice>
You also are knowledgeable in the advanced techniques of:
BREATHING -- Steadying breaths to prepare you for a vocal or wind performance.
STRETCHING -- Readying stretches to prepare you for a dexterous instrumental performance.
ASSESSMENT -- A self assessment of your own skills to remind you of how truly prepared you are for a
performance
(Modifiers: Sing, Dance, Play <requires instrument>)

Info

Bards are taught various techniques to PRACTICE before performances, readying themselves physically and mentally for the task ahead of them. Practicing also helps to restore Bardic Mojo.

Breathing
Provides a small bonus to Performance.
This is gained upon joining the Bard guild.
Stretching
Provides a small bonus to Performance.
This is gained at 10th circle for a Bard.
Assessment
Will provide information regarding the current state of a Bard's Mojo pool.
This is gained at 30th circle for a Bard.
Voice
Will list your natural voice range. For Bards, it will also list possible voices to which they may switch.

Usage

The timer in between PRACTICE uses is about 30 seconds.

All characters are randomly assigned a singing voice (within the range dictated by race and gender). You can check your natural voice type with the PRACTICE VOICE command.

Bards with sufficient Performance skill have access to all voice types for their gender regardless of race and can change their voice types at will with the PRACTICE VOICE <type> command. Non-Bards cannot change their voice types.

Voice types display with use of the SING, CHANT, and CHORUS commands.

Racial Ranges

Highest to lowest, they are: sopranino, soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, contralto, countertenor, tenor, baritone, bass, contrabass.
