Constanze is the current Khalo rae Moda of Zoluren, replacing Eksharo who was forcibly retired by the guild's leadership due to an ongoing lack of empathy. Constanze has a fearsome reputation among the Khalaen, Salvur, Khalo rae Wen of Zoluren calling her the guild's "hatchet woman." Prior to becoming Zoluren's Moda, Constanze was a travelling Khalo rae Aev, and is rumored to have hunted Necromancers as well as Empaths who become serious problems for the guild's leadership.

Constanze has demonstrated a number of abilities currently unknown to other Empaths, such as the ability to compel those who annoy her to travel far away.

Constanze is responsible for the creation of the compel spell pattern. Constanze has no known relatives.

• EMPATHY: Constanze tilts her head, the crow's feet around her eyes deepening with just the beginnings of a smile. "Empathy is a nuanced thing, with many facets. Just so with empaths, and the Empaths' Guild. Some are healers, some researchers, others use our skill of manipulation to study life and life's essence. I think you'll find our guildleaders are also varied."
• MANIPULATION: Constanze tilts her head, peering keenly at you. "Mm, yes. Manipulation. A small thing, but powerful. People will do many things for those they feel to be their friends, won't they? Animals, too. It seems quite simple, but it's easy to underestimate its power. One should not use this ability lightly, though. What a stir that would cause." She chuckles, but her eyes linger on you for a long moment before she takes up her knitting once again.
• NECROMANCER: Constanze continues knitting. For a few moments it's not clear if she heard your question. Finally she says, "Fools."
• SALVUR: "Poor Salvur. You should have known him when he first began in the Empaths' Guild. So enthusiastic and full of promise! Well, he still has promise." She chuckles wryly, shaking her head.
• WEN: Constanze's eyes flick up toward the door leading outside, and she smirks. "The Wen are the leaders of the young. Salvur is the Khalo rae Wen here. And doesn't he do just a fine job?"
