Heyo! Ever hear people talking about Morganae and wonder who she is? Has someone asked you for the story of Teiro, and all you could do was give them a vacant stare? As lorekeepers of the realms, Bards really should know these things...and now they do! RECALL FAMOUS <name> This Bard-only ability will give a brief synopsis of various famous people from history and legend, as well as a few living people of great importance. While there is no circle restriction, there is an expectation that the Bard has devoted a reasonable amount of time to scholastic pursuits. As always, never hurts to have a little of that Bardic mojo. Yes, I am fully aware some of the information is already outdated. That's going to happen, and while I do hope to update things once in a blue moon, I figure you guys should have the burden of keeping track of what has happened in your own lifetime. So there! Neener! The existing database is of reasonable sized (in fact I just...er...borrowed...it from a different system), but was specifically designed to be easily expanded. While not a priority at this time, I do hope to double the database size at some point, especially with more historic (as opposed to existing) people. Yes, you can learn scholarship from this ability. Yes, there are some limiting factors. No, it's not intended to be a primary source of scholarship training. This ability is now live in Prime and Platinum. Barring any problems, it should be live in TF in a day or two.
