Attacks
When you find a doll playing one of the Hollow Eve Festival 421 games, attempting to DROP, STOW or PUT, as well as doing an APPRAISE and LOOKing at it, will spur the doll into action. Randomly you will then have a chance to escape the doll or be caught. In both cases, the doll will disappear once it has completed the attempt.
Escape
Result: you have a very short stun, no wounds
- An odd sort of noise comes from your doll, as if something inside it was slowly clicking into place. Writhing about, it wriggles its way out of your hand and drops to the ground, crouching on all fours. Its limbs whirl about briefly and then it turns its head to look straight at you, carrying the same blank smile it always has. However, you quickly notice its eyes are suddenly filled with an eerie sort of intelligence.
- You feel briefly frozen in shock!
- Making an abrupt stab at your ankle, the doll is suddenly wielding a garden spade! It snarls in fury as you barely manuever out of the way. The doll runs between your legs before trying to latch onto one of them, but you're able to shake it off without too much trouble.
- The doll snarls at you in anger, its eyes twisted in obvious rage although its mouth continues to smile in a macabre manner. Looking around, it apparently decides to try finding easier targets, as it quickly runs away and soon disappears from sight.
Caught
Result: you have a moderate to long stun, various wounds to some or all of your arms and legs (see below for worst case scenario results)

- Staring at you intently, the doll pulls out a pair of pruning shears! With a strength and speed that can only be supernatural, the twisted figurine pounces on you, and despite your struggles, starts methodically cutting. One by one, your limbs are pruned from your body, like branches cut from a tree.
- You are stunned!
- Giggling more, the doll then drags your limbs off behind it, quickly disappearing from sight and leaving your broken body behind.
Your body feels at full strength.
Your spirit feels full of life.
You have a severely swollen and shattered right arm which appears completely useless compounded by an ugly stump for a right arm, a severely swollen and shattered left arm which appears completely useless compounded by an ugly stump for a left arm, a severely swollen and shattered right leg which appears completely useless compounded by an ugly stump for a right leg, a severely swollen and shattered left leg which appears completely useless compounded by an ugly stump for a left leg.
