Surrounded by the Gemfire Mountains, the Velaka Desert exists in far northwestern Therengia. It is split nearly in two by the Hekemhhg River and salty Lake Ratamipak.

Traveling by Sand Barge is the only way beside a moongate to get to the city of Muspar'i. At this time there is a low player base in the city and at last count there were only thirteen (13) official citizens of Velaka.

For those wishing to train in the desert of Velaka, there are only three (3) creatures in the desert proper. They are Mottled Westanuryns, Velakan Slavers, and Zombie Nomads. It is advised that anyone going to the Velakan desert to train be prepared to create thier own maps each time they go. Once every three (3) hours the desert sands will shift into a new random pattern so relying on someones map that was done before will not always work.

Located in the desert, there are a total of seven (7) areas known as Rock Circles. Inside the circles is the only place that the Velakan Slaver will spawn. At the location of one of the rock circles there is a plateau that will take you to the Walk of Bones where the Zombie Nomad is to be found. The rest of the desert you will find Mottled Westanuryns.

The desert proper is the reputed living area of the tribe called the Outcasts. Where they make thier actual home is unknown at this time, but the tribe does in fact exist.

Note

The entrance to the Velakan Desert is located outside the city of Muspar'i on Map 46 .
