Szrael has an angular face, slitted gold eyes and a pointed snout, red-gold scales, a long tail and an athletic figure.
She is young for a S'Kra Mur.
She has a tattoo of spiraling bands of iridescent green-blue underscales outlined in gold on her tail.
She is in good shape.

She is wearing a gold and fire opal sur'nidrel, a simple hooded cloak of desert-hued khiynit, some simple robes of fine black Musparan silk, a soft black leather haversack, a gold and fire opal rasha'hhsograth with a bright cloisonne mosaic, a polished leather belt with an opal-hilted scimitar and a light war mallet hanging from it and some soft black steel-toed boots.

History

Szrael was born to a family of silk merchants in the trade city of Muspar'i. She lived there in relative peace until the discovery of her Empathic abilities, when she was sent to the city of Crossing to learn the Empath's trade among the southerners.

Szrael is often criticized as needlessly cruel, or even evil. This characterization fails to consider S'Kra Mur concepts of ru'at and q'alrin, however. According to The Ways of the S'Kra Mur, "A S'Kra Mur gives his ru'at (circle of family, friends, and allies) complete trust and complete honesty, and expects the same from them. However, the privileges of trust and honesty are not conferred on q'alrin (those outside one's ru'at) unless they are earned; nor are such things expected from them. There is absolutely nothing dishonorable about lying to, stealing from, or cheating an outsider, assuming it profits the S'Kra more than it harms the outsider." Thus, while Szrael's behavior is often unacceptable to other races, her code of ethics is perfectly acceptable among S'Kra Mur.

Current Activities

Szrael was recruited into the Flying Company shortly after the formation of the group. She is the group's only Empath and organizes the group's triage efforts, along with Tyrun Talmuron, a Cleric. Szrael often hosts triage-oriented events such as training sessions and tournaments on behalf of the Flying Company.

Szrael was one of the founding members of the Professional Healers Association and is extremely active in that organization. Szrael views the southern tradition of the altruistic, impoverished healer to be extremely distasteful and dishonorable to all involved in it, patient and healer alike. Szrael views healing to be a trade endeavor like any other, and will not usually allow her patients to dictate her fees. Most of Szrael's violent incidents have begun when a patient took offense at her attempt to negotiate the healing fee up front.

As an Empath, Szrael has always harbored a healthy dislike for Necromancers and their dupes. This dislike was sharpened into outright hatred when she was captured and dismembered by the Adan'f Necromancer Xerasyth. Szrael cannot be reasoned with concerning Necromancers, and works ceaselessly to eradicate necromancy from the plane of abiding.

This zealotry eventually brought Szrael to the attention to the Temple's Inquisition, who formally commended her for her efforts in denouncing and hindering necromancers and their associates, designating her an Inquisitorial Truthsayer.

Szrael's affiliation with the Inquisition has caused her to be the target of repeated assassination attempts by Necromancers and their allies, among these Totenus (a former friend and ally), the Danes, and the Sanguine Eye. Szrael and the Inquisitorial Seeker Ventuul have occasionally retaliated in an effort to discourage future assassination attempts. Despite these obstacles, Szrael has continued undaunted in her attempts to help the Inquisition capture and destroy Necromancers.
