Description:	The Moonblade spell channels the light-fire of the moons into a lightweight rapier-like blade excellent for slashing and thrusting. The blade is sturdy, but lasts only for a short while, and may never leave your hand. Those with greater knowledge in heavier edges will find that their created weapons will reflect this talent, becoming aptly suited for that skill.

Your red-hot moonblade is surrounded by a brief-lived aura of twisted space. A violent ebb and flow of magical energy passes through the moonblade as the spell's energy is captured within an expertly crafted node of Lunar energy. A scaly seordmaor fails to evade, failing miserably. The moonblade cuts soundlessly through the air and lands a strong hit that rips the left leg from the hip socket, making a wet popping sound. Snapping at the air with rage, a scaly seordmaor falls flat on its side.

Syntax

• CAST <moon> <refresh> <hand>

You must specify one of the three moons. Refresh is optional and will lengthen the duration of an already existing Moonblade. Hand is optional and lets you designate the hand in which you will try to create or refresh a Moonblade. By default the spell will try both, starting with your right.

• ALIGN MOONBLADE

Prepares the Moonblade to capture your next spell in the Moonblade's active node.

• FOCUS MOONBLADE

Provides information about the state of the Moonblade and its nodes.

• SHAPE MOONBLADE TO <primary|secondary|tertiary>

Activates the chosen node.

• INVOKE MOONBLADE

Releases the spell in the Moonblade's active node.

• SHAPE MOONBLADE TO <warded|unwarded>

Disable/reactivate the moonblade's attack messaging.

Notes

• You can BREAK a moonblade to create slivers to use for Telekinetic Throw. The ability to break slivers off of a moonblade is based on the Magical Devices skill.
• Not all Moonblades can be used to hold spells. The capacity and difficulty to use any Moonblade depends on the power of the magic used to create it. When capturing spells, the spell should be cast as normal. Spells will come out of Moonblade exactly as they went in: if you CAST MOONBLADE, it will be treated as though you intend to cast the spell on the Moonblade. A moonblade cannot hold an offense type spell.
• 26 mana is required to get one node.
