If anyone has suggestions for the Bard pages let me know I am doing some much needed revamping on them. Thanks.

Enchantes
Please make use of the Template:Spell for the bardic Enchantes. Let me know if you have any questions about it. You can contact me via AIM at EmpathNaeya.--Naeya (talk) 09:20, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- Going to remove the enchante list from the Bard page. We are making use of categories for these, not just a static list. If you like I can do one as an example so you can see what I mean.--Naeya (talk) 09:22, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Actually, come to think of it, I'm going to make another template for Enchantes. Will take a moment. It will be similar to Template:Spell.--Naeya (talk) 09:24, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- No worry, not a mess. Holding off, I figured it would be easier for you to create all the pages from the list you made.
- I need your feedback for the enchante template. Are they similar to other spells in that there is a minimum/max mana cap? I'm also going to keep in the field for Spell Types, since I assume this works for enchantes as well. IE some enchantes are buffs, attacks, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.--Naeya (talk) 09:35, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Enchante Template
Actually, please use Template:Enchante It has been tweaked to be specific for the bard enchantes. This is important because of categorization. :) Just copy/paste the usage and fill in the blanks. I've just made the categories work correctly for bard, everything else (spell type info and mana stuff) is the same as Template:Spell--Naeya (talk) 09:41, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- Ok umm.. you aren't using the template correctly... :) Do not copy the table that's in the template. Just copy/paste what's in the Usage area. Here's an example of what you need to put on each page, for Hodierna's Lilt. Of course it will apply to all enchantes.
{{enchante |abbrev= LILT |prereqs= <!--links to other enchantes if needed--> |minprep= |castcap= |validtarget= <!--Self, Group, target (critter, others), area--> |desc=This enchante will allow all members of the area to enter a meditative state, enhancing their abilities to heal their bodies and restore focus to their minds. Legend holds that this enchante has been used in varying forms in cultures across Elanthia for centuries, for everything from aiding healers, to enhancing the abilities of spellcasters in war, to lending strength to the Rakash and Prydaen during their migration across the continent. |notes= |messaging= |enchantetype=Ballads and Romances |spelltype=Buffing }}
- see Category:Spell Types for currently used spell types.
- Also, when the template is used correctly, there's no need to put the pages into categories yourself, the template does it for you. --Naeya (talk) 10:19, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
I meant that the template is used the same for all enchantes, you'll need to change the information after all the equal signs. If it doesn't apply, just leave it blank. Let me know if anything else needs to be changed. If ye like, IM me at EmpathNaeya. Much easier to communicate quickly.--Naeya (talk) 10:26, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Hehe I really don't mean to come across as too aggressive, I apologize if I do. I changed Albreda's Balm to what it should be. Take a look and model the rest of the enchantes after that.--Naeya (talk) 10:47, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- The Spell template has a few significant problems and I would be careful basing the Enchante template on it. I'm in the process of re-working the spell template to address these issues and in general simplify it. Please see Template_talk:Spell for details. --Farman 12:21, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- Once the Spell template is in its final (for now) state, I'll update the Enchante template accordingly. I've been meaning to get Callek or Grindinghalt (as they are better with #if statements than I am) to take a look at the Spell template and work up some magic to deal with Planned spells. I'll write more on this elsewhere.
