Talk page history
It's probably best to retain the history of your talk page (as is the nature of a wiki) and not delete it all.--Naeya (talk) 23:44, 23 October 2007 (CDT)
Gamemaster talk page
Hey Kraelyst, why did you delete our little exchange about tables on the GM article talk page? IMO (and as is standard, accepted practice in wikis), article talk-page discussions should never be deleted, no matter how trivial the content. That stuff about tables is admittedly pretty minor, but it might be useful to someone else at some point. Archiving is ok after an appropriate length of time, but editing talk pages is OK only as absolutely necessary if someone says something really awful/inappropriate.
The underlying idea is that it's considered really bad form in a wiki to edit someone else's comments on a talk page as it's considered anti-collaborative. In any case I think there's a lot that can be done to improve that table on the GM article, eg sortability and maybe some borders/cell coloring to improve readability. So for all these reasons I'm going to un-delete that discussion, and add to it.
Your User page is your own kingdom as it were and you can do whatever you want on it, but to expand on what Naeya said above, unless there's some kind of offensive comment, harassment, or something of that nature, most people leave the talk in place since it represents the contributions of other people. --Farman 00:13, 24 October 2007 (CDT)
Deleted Histories
Thanks guys. I'm new to Wiki anything. I don't recall deleting the GameMaster Talk page and couldn't find any record of it in the GameMaster Talk Page log or my own Kraelyst Contributions logs, but I'm sure you wouldn't have written if my name hadn't popped up somewhere. I guess I did it and forgot or did it by accident. But now I know. --Kraelyst 14:55, 24 October 2007 (CDT)
- You can see all this info at the Deletion Log--Naeya (talk) 20:17, 24 October 2007 (CDT)
- No worries, there's definitely a learning curve to get into the wiki mindset, not to mention the mysteries of wikicode. I know it took me a little while getting up to speed on both counts--heck, I'm still learning ;) We aren't anywhere near as formally organized as wikipedia, and we're a much smaller community, but I've always approached elanthipedia with wikipedia in mind as a model.
- If you haven't already, you should skim the Five Pillars of Wikipedia Policy. Not everything there is appropriate for us--we're not an encyclopedia and our scope is very small. So verifiability, no original research, and similar strictures don't make sense here. But IMO, a lot of it does: Be Neutral, Be Civil, Anyone Can Edit, Act in Good Faith, Follow Consensus, Be Bold, I think all of that is really good stuff. --Farman 21:48, 24 October 2007 (CDT)

Glad you appreciate the help, Kraelyst. I don't know how frequent my contributions will be, but I do intend to pop in now and again to dump some of my notes here. Maybe somebody will find them helpful. If there are particular things you think would be helpful to have added first, just let me know. --Basselope 11:39, 23 October 2007 (CDT)

Thanks Basselope! I think you're doing a great job putting in all the historical figures. It's probably best if we all work on the topics we enjoy most. --Kraelyst 19:23, 23 October 2007 (CDT)

Wow, look at all of the edits to the books! Thanks; you have much more patience for that than I do. --Basselope 15:25, 9 November 2007 (CST)
Re: NeedShopInfo
Is there a preferred method for doing 2+ room shops? I finally found a shop that has the info split up onto a single shop page. Is that how you guys want it done?
I'm actually quite new to the site myself, but I think 2 rooms on a single page is pretty typical. Another tip... whenever you post any messages at the end click the Signature button at the top. It will produce the following information: --Kraelyst 22:21, 12 November 2007 (CST)
spell tree images
I'm new to the Wiki and not sure who runs things... also not very good with wiki formatting in general sooo... I just uploaded two images for WM and MM spell trees that aren't linked to anywhere and I'm giving you a heads up, in case you'd like to put them somewhere. Mantive 18:13, 2 December 2007 (CST)
- Thanks, Mantive. I'm sort of new myself but I am indeed the one "in charge." I'll take a look and see if I can figure out where they belong. --Kraelyst 19:35, 3 December 2007 (CST)
- FYI - I put em where they should go... or so I deemed they should go. I left a note on Mantive's talk page about it.--Naeya (talk) 19:39, 3 December 2007 (CST)
- Thanks, Pythea!! I'm so glad you're here! --Kraelyst 19:41, 3 December 2007 (CST)
- eh? Maybe ye saw Naeya and thought Pythea? :D --Naeya (talk) 19:44, 3 December 2007 (CST)
- Heh heh... yeah, thank YOU, Naeya! That's what I meant. --Kraelyst 19:48, 3 December 2007 (CST)
- YAY me! :) And... welcome! --Naeya (talk) 19:49, 3 December 2007 (CST)

Locksmith Union -- Official?
Hey, can you just check my statement in Category:Official_Orders and adjust to be accurate if it is not. and by the same light, do you (or any union member you know of) have an "Order Titles"? if so, that section in Official Orders might need to be edited. --Callek 19:15, 4 December 2007 (CST)
- I saw your updates earlier and everything looks exactly right. The Locksmith Union is officially acknowledged but we are definitely not an Official Order. As far as titles, all we have is the standard affiliation title "of The Locksmith Union." I also have a custom title of "Union Leader." --Kraelyst 19:19, 4 December 2007 (CST)
