Description:	Magical barriers come in many shapes and sizes, but Lay Ward has the distinction of being the simplest. The spell conjures up a brief-lived aura of "static" around the caster, which hinders spells that pass through it. It takes almost no effort for the caster to compensate for his own ward, so beneficial spells can come in and his own spells can leave without problem.
