Appearance
You see Asketian Valtusk Hrr'thvaar, a Ghostly Cleric.
He has eerily glowing ebon eyes, a long mane of ghostly white hair that stirs about errantly of its own volition, and misty ebon skin that gleams with a faint tint of silver translucence.
He is ageless, having transcended the bounds of mortality.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a spiked morning star in his right hand.
He is wearing some heavy black iron manacles fashioned loosely to resemble a writhing adder, a woven silver steelsilk tithe satchel with a black animite raven clasp, a rough leather weapon harness, some gleaming steel gauntlets engraved with a diamond-encrusted raven upon the back of each hand, a tiny animite dwarf statue suspended from a fine silver chain, a chainmail mesh sack, a richly bejewelled Kertigen emblem suspended from a dark platinum chain, some blued steel plate armor engraved with the form of a proud raven standing over a dusky field of twilight sapphires, a gleaming animite Dwarven great helm, a dusky samite cloak interwoven with strands of deep black shadowsilk, some thick leather steel-toed Dwarven infantry boots and a polished steel wall shield inset with a mosaic of black opals depicting a raven in flight.
History
Valtusk was a very eccentric Dwarven Cleric excessively devoted to his god Kertigen. He made friends with the Dwarves of Stone Clan and they gave him a home there while he tried to figure out how to get back to his homeland, Forfedhdar.
Apparently Valtusk had a greater destiny, one he was not aware of. During his stay in Stone Clan, the greater North Wind banshee first appeared in Zoluren. Shortly after, Denizelva, another Forfedhdarian, arrived. There was no small amount of animosity between the two as she was a High Priestess of Asketi. Denizelva stated that Valtusk was the one who could defeat the Banshee. The hard part was going to be convincing him of that.
The Banshee was the top commander of Asketi's invading forces, but had gotten a little greedy and tried to overthrow Asketi, with an eye toward eventually toppling the rest of the pantheon.
After much debate, Valtusk finally agreed to champion Asketi and battle the corrupt Banshee. The battle was fierce and the Banshee was defeated but at a great price. Valtusk's life was no longer his own. He became little more than a ghostly apparition - and his title became Asketian Valtusk. His job, to lead Asketi's army. He did his job faithfully for several years and was finally rewarded with his release upon the second defeat of the Banshee.
He is also the father of Verese, an important Cleric in her own right.
