Background

Vasilissa was born on the 2nd day of the 5th month of Uthmor the Giant in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare, 377 years after the victory of Lanival the Redeemer. Her father was a sore and heavily guarded subject with her mother who was a Cleric devoted to the Goddess Dergati. She went on a pilgrimage when Vasilissa was tender age of 7, and left her with relatives until she would return. Vasilissa never saw her mother again. Her relatives, being firm followers of Chadatru, spread the rumor that Dergati was unhappy with her disciple and took vengeance upon her mortal soul. They thought she chose unwisely of her patron Goddess, and took their disdain out on Vasilissa whom they believed to be the incarnate of the Dergati's wrath because of her unnatural appearance. Skin the deep color of ebon with hair to match, bright red irises and a waifish figure; she never stood a chance against their prejudices. They tried their best to press their beliefs onto her, and for a while it worked. Vasilissa grew to hate her family and the way they spoke of her mother. Over the years nightmares plagued her, the only similarity between any of them being a shadowy woman with three glowing red eyes. Vasilissa was careful to keep these a secret from those she lived with. As she grew older the dreams were less frightening, and she felt as though the woman were calling to her rather than haunting her with terrible visions. She began to wondered about the reality behind her mother’s disappearance. So with naught but dreams and instinct to guide her, at the age of 18 she left her home and journeyed out on her own. Vasilissa decided to join the Clerics guild and follow Dergati’s dark path to better understand her and to gain clues into her mothers fate.

Present

A wealthy Cleric who she refuses to name became her benefactor in 397 VA, and presented her with a Barbarian to aid her on her quest. In the 3rd month of Lirisa the Archer in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare, 398, Kendus Muja’vasik was bound to her as her serf and blade.
