History

Born of the Bone Clan within Ilithi , Decipere was naturally gifted with empathic abilities. He was taught at a young age to harness the wonders of life magic and continued through his training to surprise his masters with his progression. Seeing the potiential withen the young elf, the village elders appointed Klergakious as his mentor. Decipere's knowledge of life magic grew fast under his new masters teachings.

The history of Decipere's younger days are mostly unknown upto the great betrayal of Klergakious. It is unrecorded what happened or why. What is known is under the elders command for betrayal of the clan, Decipere was forced to torture and slowly kill his master. Decipere was ravaged with guilt and hate, fearing death himself he followed through with the order, using his tranferring powers to slay the master he treated as a father. He swore to never use his empathic abilities again...

Decipere soon after left the clan on good terms in search of something more, something to erase the horrible memories of the torture from his mind. Withen the Great Tower Libraries of Shard he found such solace. Keeping his mind occupied with rigirous studies of various magic. He came upon an old tome focused on the history of his great elder, Sidhlot SilverVeil.

Fascinated by its contents, Decipere traveled the world searching for more works of the great bone elf. At the young age of thirty, Sorrow's War struck the Crossing. Without thought Decipere sided with the sinister mage. seeking the appointed General Sidhlot as a new master and teacher. His combat abilities lacked due to years of research and sitting in libraries, making him utterly useless to Sorrow. Nor did he have any experience on the battlefield and couldnt lead troop or strategize. After being shunned to a mere foot soldier, Decipere abandonned his quest and returned home to his clan.

Now with some age and wisdom, Decipere stood before the elders and requested the studies of Sidhlots magic. They accepted his order and began teaching him the necromantic arts under the Philosophers of the Knife. Over the years of the war his features became contorting, his hair thinned and eventualy fell out; even his eyes grew blood red and souless as his new found art consumed his soul. With the defeat of Sorrow and the reopening of the trade routes, Decipere left his clan once more, seeking greater knowledge of his dark magic and ideology.
