| Incompatibility is not a function of your PM ranks. Rather, it's a base chance determined by the spell and modified based on the amount of mana you're using. High-powered sorcery is more likely to blow up in your face.
We'll take a look at the number, but the moral of the story is that it's not especially safe to try tossing out max-prep spells outside your mana frequency. At the highest end skill levels, you should see a reduction in sorcerous backfires, since we squashed a bug that was penalizing you for having skill (the nerve of you). | |
