Beseech Elanthia to Seal quest

You'll need:
~160 Athletics skill
At least 115 Scholarship skill
The sum of Wisdom + Discipline + Intelligence should be at least 75.
A perfect Ranger bonus.

Once you get the go-ahead from Tomma head to the undergondola area and into blade spiders.

Climb the tunnel, move east, ne, e, and climb ledge. You need to be in the Green Room right beside the word Yvhh on the map.

STUDY the fossil there until you get "As you trace your fingers over the symbols, the fossil begins to glow". You will receive a series of additional messages that end with "My gratitude goes with thee as I bed you a fond farewell."

If you study the fossil and get "You learn nothing from the fossil." this means that your Ranger bonus is not at maximum. You can wait in this room for a while until you are maxed out and try again.
