Shield Pages

Does "newshieldapp" indicate that the shield was appraised with the full range, or only that it was appraised since the new scale was released? In other words, do we need both newshieldapp and paladinapp? --Isharon 07:01, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Paladinapp should have been removed entirely. I thought I had. And yes, it's no longer needed. It's to indicate that it was appraised since and the second tier of appraisals was achieved. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi^(talk) 07:03, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

I used a form to edit the lion shield as a test. Previously, it had been marked "paladinapp=yes." This option was not on the form, but the form did not remove this field when I checked the new appraisal box. Unfortunately, the system will not remove previously added values. So while neither "paladinapp" nor "newarmorapp" are needed, they can only be removed manually. On the other hand, they'll no longer affect anything. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi^(talk) 07:20, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Armor and Weapon Identifying

Would it be possible to add a category to the wiki involving all armor and weapon types? Such that you would load up the web page of say, for example, Scimitar_(1) and be able to click "Medium Edged" under the type as a link, resulting in a list of all Medium Edged weapons. I would love to be able to work on this, as it would be an easy way to identify various types of items. Perhaps as a long-term objective, the stats (puncture, slice, impact, balance, suitedness, hindrance, protection, absorption, etc.) could also be display as a table for a reference point.

Go to the end of the page, look at the line that says "Is combat type" and click on the magnifying glass next to it. Or you can use the Weapon Query page. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi^(talk) 09:13, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Quest Tag Clarification?

I didn't tag all those items from Curse of the Ghost Ship as quest because I thought the tag was for items used in quests, not items from quests. From now on, I should tag anything found through a paid quest with the quest tag? --TEVESHSZAT 01:05, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

The quest tag is for items that are found on a quest and trigger the flag that it's a rare item. This is so people can easily do searches for items that are only shop available and the like. So, yes, please. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi^(talk) 01:30, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Template bug

There is a bug in the default templates. The code for the "free text" ends up floating out on the finished page when you create or edit any page with the form. Like so:

Site Layout in Firefox 9.0

I have some information about what is causing the left-hand menu to be pushed down in Firefox 9.0. --Isharon 20:29, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

This is caused by browser sniffing that has been broken in Firefox 9. The property navigator.taintEnabled is no longer supported so the wrong css file gets loaded which sets the margin-left of the div column-content to zero. As a result there is less room for the navigation div which is pushed down.

Doesn't seem to be working. In fact, I have grown a weirdness on some PC pages. "Status {{#if: | " I attempted adding this field but it does not result in a normal look to the field, just gives the addition of a letter before the bar |. The forms for PC and the help pages should be updated, also, once this field is working properly. Spammers

Are the spam accounts not being made from any common IP addresses? It's possible using admin controls for the website to disable account creation by IP or a range of IP addresses. Just trying to save you admin guys a some trouble. Personally, I want to punch them in the face, even if they are just bots.--Zamara 18:42, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Worn without armor item template bug

The drop down menu says "worn with out armor" but the system itself wants it to say "worn without armor" --TEVESHSZAT 04:05, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Form:Critter listing provinces

The Critter form had issues with multi-province creatures (E.G. Rock Troll (1)), it would only allow one province to be selected. If you manually edited the field, subsequent use of the Form would remove the field. I took a stab at changing it from a dropdown to a list and nothing appears to have exploded, but may want to double check when you have a moment. -Glimmereyes 04:48, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Dash redefined?

Did the way dashes work in the editor change? It looks like any list that includes a dash now has the item after the dash become it's own line. As an example, see how loot displayed on the Quelling the Riot page. --TEVESHSZAT 22:12, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Housing Template

Would it be possible to alter the Housing template to allow multiple Classes and Restriction options. Riverpine has housing for Low and Middle. Raven's Court is restricted to Thieves and Traders. Okay, the shield data should now be fixed. I think it was just the target shield hinderance was off. I also removed the harness and durability columns as they aren't really relevant once the shield is made. I created a new targe and kite shield and added the stats for them as well. Tanned large shields appear to be nerfed now, but I didnt spot any changes to the medium or small shields. I have over 400 appraisal, so I am getting Paladin level reads on the stats.

Rare tag?
