The REROLL command is primary an informational one.

Syntax and Messaging

  • REROLL: To reroll, go to an Inn and CHECK IN!

Information about Rerolling Your Character

This information is taken from HELP REROLL and HELP REROLL 1 in game.

If you are unhappy with your character and wish to reroll, you may do so by going to one of the Inns, finding the front desk, and typing CHECK IN. (You can find an Inn in The Crossing by typing DIR while IN TOWN. The same verb works in Riverhaven.) From there you will be sent to the Character Manager, where you can choose to Retire Character/Family.

If you are level 0, you can choose to reroll at any time by typing CHECK IN. You can do this anywhere and do not have to be at an Inn.

Simutronics staff can replace your character if you choose to reroll and then decide you want your old character back. In general, rerolling is seen as PERMANENT, and all items lost from it are likewise seen as irreplaceable. However, if you DO decide that you want your old character back, Simutronics offers Character Restorals for a fee. For a deposit to begin the investigation and an additional fee of to deliver the restored character to your account. This option is as easy as emailing Feedback at with their email address found under the verb EMAIL.

NOTE: REROLLING TO AVOID A DIFFICULT SITUATION YOU HAVE INSTIGATED IS AGAINST DRAGONREALMS POLICY AND CAN RESULT IN LOCKOUT FROM THE GAME.

When you need to REROLL or RETIRE, you need to utilize the CHECK command. Specifically, you need to use CHECK IN. You can type CHECK alone to see more information on it, or CHECK IN to see the requirements for rerolling. There are two options to CHECK in the case of rerolling or retiring.
NOTE: You must be in an Inn in order to complete a reroll or retire. Use DIR INN to find one within Crossing or Riverhaven.

REROLL - This command will send you back to the character manager and allow you to start the game over WITHOUT choosing a new name.

RETIRE - This command will send you back to the character manager and allow you to start the game over and choose a new name.

When you CHECK IN [REROLL or RETIRE] you will be starting the game from scratch. You will lose the following:

  • Your features and race. You will start from scratch in the character generator.
  • All items on your character
  • All experience.
  • Your guild and any related guild abilities.
  • All money on your character and in any banks.
  • All items in your vault.

If you happen to be a Premium subscriber, there is a nice little perk in place. If you choose to reroll or retire, you are able to keep your home (if you have one) and all items in your vault.

All other experience, items within your INVENTORY, money on your character or in the bank, and any guild or related guild abilities will be lost regardless of being a Premium subscriber.
